Angel Next Door Season 2 is PURE Diabetes
Article at a glance:
- Angel Next Door Season 2 is already an emotional rollercoaster, just 2 episodes in and it’s already got us grinning like idiots one second and feeling the existential loneliness the next. Send help.
- The post-confession relationship dynamic is the highlight so far, unlike most romance anime, Season 2 dives straight into Amane and Mahiru actually being a couple.
- Solid production, great voice acting, but the real concern is pacing, the show looks and sounds as good as ever, but after Season 1 rushed its ending, the big question is whether Season 2 can stick the landing this time around.

I hate this anime. This anime got all our lonely asses smiling like a bum, and then the reality sets in, and you’re crying yourself to sleep. Jokes aside, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2 has been a straight-up serotonin shot right into my veins. I thought Episode 1 was bad enough; Episode 2 is somehow WORSE. This is just 2 episodes in, and I have no idea how I am even going to survive the whole season. Really hoping that they don’t rush towards the ending as they did in Season 1, though.
So yeah, welcome to the first Spring 2026 article! And it is only fitting that I start with The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2! So let’s get started!

My Thoughts on Angel Next Door Season 2 so far
First up, I really appreciate having a good relationship to work through. I feel like not enough animes show us the post-confession stage of a relationship when the awkwardness really begins. So I appreciate that Season 2 jumps right into Amane and Mahiru’s developing relationship without wasting any time. And I forgot how easily these two go along. It is really funny seeing them forget where they are and just get absorbed into their own flirting lmfao. The reactions of other characters really add to it as well.
Seems like the theme of this season is going to be exploring intimacy and how not to get carried away, given how close Amane and Shiina already are. So you know, it will be extra for the loners like us in the audience. But yeah, jokes aside, it is genuinely sweet how easily they get along and forget about everyone around them. So the build-up to the eventual… You know, THAT scene is going to be quite something.

As for the productions, the animations look pretty much exactly like Season 1; there’s no noticeable change in quality for better or for worse. So that means while the show looks good in stills, the movements can look a little stiff at times, especially the hair. But again, the animations are not bad by any means. Amane and Mahiru’s voice actors are once again doing a fantastic job showcasing their natural chemistry. Be it the awkwardness or just wholesome couple talk, both of their voice actors do a fantastic job of elevating the scene.
That is all for now
Angel Next Door Season 2 has been cooking so far. As long as they don’t rush things through like Season 1 did towards the end, we should be in for a fantastic season. Just be careful not to get diabetes while watching this, though. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!
