Looking to start cosplaying but you don’t have a massive budget or the time to make your own outfit? Well, then this article is for you. This is a new series we are starting which will be all about Anime Cosplay and products related to it. This article in particular is perfect for beginners!
In this article, I will list 5 products that I think can be paired up with simple stuff you probably already have to make an effective cosplay. So no cosplay sets or anything, just simple stuff that can be paired with common items to make some awesome cosplay at home, cheap and easy.
Amazon links and prices for the products will be listed as usual. Please note that the prices may differ for you. Clicking on the images will also take you to the appropriate pages. So here are 5 anime cosplay items you can make easy cosplays from!
Kaneki’s Mask from Tokyo Ghoul
Price: 18.99$, get it here
This cosplay will be really easy if you already have black hair. Otherwise, you will need a wig or a dye. The outfit itself though, is pretty simple. A black t-shirt with black shorts would be enough for the white-haired version and a blue jacket with jeans would be enough for the black-haired version. You can add black hand/leg warmers too along with the black t-shirt and shorts for the Season 2 look. And you know, let’s be honest, all of us Tokyo Ghoul fans have always wanted this mask anyway LOL.
Toman Jacket from Tokyo Revengers
Price: 27.99$, get it here
Once again, since the jacket would be the main focus, the rest of the look is pretty easy to complete. All you need is a white T-shirt underneath the jacket and some black pants. Of course, some funky hair wouldn’t hurt either to complete the Toman look. If you want to cosplay as a particular member instead, you can style your hair/get a wig accordingly!
The Akatsuki Robe from Naruto
Price: 24.31$, get it here
Another item that serves as a base of cosplay and the rest of the clothing can be modified depending on who you want to cosplay. Some black pants and sandals will complete the outfit, the rest of the look depends on who you want to cosplay as! Tobi would probably be the easiest one since the only extra thing you need for him is the mask. But that’s up to you!
Gojo-sensei Blindfold from Jujutsu Kaisen
Price: 11.99$, get if here
The only other “odd” thing you will need to complete this cosplay is a wig. Other than that, just a black leather jacket with a high collar and some black pants will be enough to complete the Gojo-sensei look. You could also get those round sunglasses instead of this blindfold if you prefer that. Cause you know, you won’t be able to see through this very well, if at all.
Color Contact Lenses
Price: 5.29$, get it here
Now, admittedly I don’t know much about contacts. I have myopia so I can’t test these out either but I did my due research and this was the best “budget” set I could find. Color contacts are very useful when it comes to all kinds of cosplay and you can always find a use for these.. That is why I am listing them here.
That is all for now!
So those were my picks of anime cosplay items for beginners, some of these can be used for multiple cosplay, the other two are pretty simple cosplays to complete on your own! Simplicity and budget were my main objectives here and I think I was able to achieve those. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!
