AoT Final Season: Conclusion Arc Release Issues…

Mappa is back at it again. I mean, why do they have the hobby of biting off more than they can chew? What do they get out of playing with their fans and employees like this? I get it, you want to have as many projects as possible in a year but come on guys, there’s a limit. AoT Final Season: Conclusion arc has been under a lot of shit recently because of Mappa’s weird decisions once again.
So welcome back to another one of my articles. I guess this counts as a news article cause I will be discussing the release details of AoT Final Season: Part 3/ Conclusion Arc. Of course, I will highlight the news first thing then I will move on to my thoughts/ the community’s response to it. With that said, let’s get started right away.
About AoT Final Season Part 3’s release
So the release date for AoT Final Season Part 3 is confirmed to be the 3rd or 4th of March depending on where you live. For me personally, it will be the 3rd of March. The rest will be the same as the previous seasons, same staff, same cast, you know the usual. But what is unusual is that the Conclusion arc will be a split cour anime. Yes, that is right, Part 3 will air inΒ twoΒ parts. Yes, things are thatΒ complicated.
It is a true “Bruh” moment. One of the biggest “Bruh” moments in my recent memory. It is the final season but it is not finalΒ final yet. What will the names be now, huh? AoT Final Season Part 3 Part 1? LOL. Well, let’s move on to
The General Reception of the Announcement
As you may expect, the general reception has not been favorable. Many people are saying that they’re “milking” the anime at this point, which is false. You can’t really “milk” an anime even if you increase the number of seasons. Unless you do something like Demon Slayer and cover the same arc in a full-fledged anime andΒ a movie; no shade to Demon Slayer ofc.
You know, most people I talked to are apparentlyΒ okΒ with the delay cause it means higher quality and a possible anime original ending. The general issue seems to be the naming. I agree with this cause the naming of the season is just ridiculous. Now for
My Thoughts on The Situation
I’mma be honest, I kinda saw this coming. Vinland Saga is 24 episodes long meaning they’ll have to handle the release of AoT and the usual broadcast of Vinland Saga at the same time for now. Again, it is totally their fault for taking up more projects than they can handle. But I understand why they did the split cour. What I don’t understand is why did they name it “The Final Season” from the get go? Like you know the Marley arc will take long and then you’ll have to do another season for the Paradis Island Invasion so why name it “The Final Season” soo early?
Now we are stuck with odd names like “The Final Season:Β ConclusionΒ Arc”. Bruh, the final season is supposed to be the conclusion, why do you need to terms it as “conclusion arc”. Also, another hit, the “Conclusion Arc” was only supposed to have like 8 episodes if I recall correctly, so if they do split cour, it’ll be justΒ 4Β episodes each! Bruuuuuuh! Get your releases right, Mappa. You could’ve easily delayed this season and released all 8 episodes at once. But, no.
Conclusion
Well, not that our ranting will change anything but, I hope they do learn from this. Funny how odd naming can cause such a big problem. But yes, we do need to come up with a better naming system as split cours get more common. I don’t have an issue with split cours, just the “Season x Part y” is tiring. Let me know what you think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!!
