Bleach TYBW Blood for My Bone Episode Review – Another Hit!

At a glance
- Horn of Salvation is finally here. Manga-jail form makes its anime debut, and it does NOT disappoint.
- Ichigo vs. Yhwach and Uryu vs. Haschwalth, expanded even more. Both fights keep getting paralleled and it’s such a great touch.
- The Vizards actually got to do something. Short, but way better than getting off-screened like in the manga.

You know, sometimes I watch Bleach TYBW and can’t believe that I am being fed THIS good. Cause holy shit, man, this was one stacked episode. Horn of Salvation Debut, expanded Yhwach vs. Ichigo, expanded Uryu vs. Haschwalth, the Vizards get to do something, and we’re not slowing down! Every week, I look forward to writing my Bleach TYBW episode review because I know the episodes will be great, and Blood for My Bone did NOT let me down. 3 for 3 banger episodes so far in The Calamity, by the way. I genuinely can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the 7.
But yeah, welcome to Bleach TYBW Blood for My Bone episode review! The Calamity has been an extremely strong season so far. This is the best Bleach content you could possibly ask for. Spoilers ahead as always; let’s start with the review.
Horn of Salvation Debut is here finally!

Yeah, that’s right. Let’s start with something we had all been waiting for! Horn of Salvation, a form locked in manga jail for years, is finally in the anime. And I hope that the anime will do it some justice, given how short its appearance in the manga was. Ichigo vs. Yhwach has been expanded a lot as it is. So I have high hopes for HoS too. Yhwach vs. Ichigo pretty much dominated the first half of the episode. Seeing Ichigo’s golden reiatsu clash with the Soul King’s black reiatsu is such a cool effect. In this episode, there’s a frame where Ichigo’s Getsuga Jujishou is blocked by a wall of that black reiatsu, and it looks incredibly cool.
I like how Ichigo vs. Yhwach is being paralleled with Uryu vs. Haschwalth again and again. And we finally have SOME explanation for what Haschwalth is doing with his new form. Doesn’t really explain everything; he just says that when he has The Almighty, he can use it as he pleases or something like that. But man, his fight with Uryu is so damn cool. The camera angles and the movement alone make that fight very unique. And once again, I have to commend how cool Uryu’s bright blue reiatsu looks colliding with the Soul King’s black reiatsu.

There’s still so much to talk about in this episode. They explicitly acknowledge that Ichibei intends to make Ichigo the Soul King if Yhwach is defeated, since they still need someone to hold the worlds together. If I recall correctly, that whole thing is straight from Can’t Fear Your Own World. The Vizards also actually got to do something and use their Hollow powers for once. Sure, their appearance was short, but it’s better than in the manga, where they get off-screened before Toshiro, Byakuya, and Zaraki arrive at the scene.
Wrapping Up
The next episode is most likely going to be Zaraki’s Bankai reveal and Toshiro’s adult form reveal. Maybe even Gerard’s defeat. And if that’s the case, we’ll officially be in uncharted waters. Because in the manga, it was straight to the ending after that. But we will still have 6 more episodes to go in the anime. But, well, either way, that concludes my review for Blood for My Bone, tune in for another Bleach TYBW review next week. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. See ya!
