And we finally get some more info on Blue Lock Season 2. Season 2 was announced as soon as Season 1 ended but till now we didn’t have much information on it. We just knew it would come out in the fall 2024 season. Not only has that been reiterated by the studio, but we also got a huge list of modifications to the staff and a few new cast members. Sadly, I don’t think we’ve gotten any teaser/trailer yet, but that should also be released soon enough.

I am very excited about this season even though I have been keeping up with the manga. Rather I should because I have been keeping up with the manga, and I am even more excited to watch this upcoming season. More on that later though. Let’s go over all the news first. Now, I will not cover every staff change because it is a huge list but I will cover the important ones. If you are interested, you can find the full list on the anime’s official website. With that said, welcome to another news article, and let’s talk about Blue Lock Season 2 today!

What do we know about Blue Lock Season 2?

As I mentioned earlier, Season 2 will be released in this year’s fall season. So it will start airing sometime in October. 8bit will once again be returning to animate the series and since Bandai Namco owns 8bit now, Bandai will also be returning to produce this season. Which is good because that means more budget. Rumors are suggesting that Season 2 will also be another 24-episode season just like Season 1 was. This has not been officially confirmed yet but I wouldn’t be surprised considering that Slime Season 3 by the same studio is also 24 episodes.

As for the staff changes, we have Yuuji Haibara as the new chief director. Shintaro Inokawa is the new director. Quite a few other staff positions also have new members. But most of the staff is still returning despite substantial changes. Eiji Mikami and Kakeru Hatano will be joining the cast alongside all the old cast members. Other than all this, we only got a teaser visual. As I mentioned, we haven’t yet gotten an animated teaser/trailer for Season 2 just yet.

With the news covered, let’s move on to

My Thoughts

I am very excited about Season 2. There is a lot of good stuff coming and I cannot wait to see some of the matches in animation. Blue Lock is among my favorite sports mangas and this upcoming season will prove why I love it so much once again. You guys thought Season 1 was good? Oh, wait till you see what the upcoming arcs have in store for you. Isagi and Rin become complete menaces in the upcoming arcs lol. Isagi straight up takes to humiliating his opponents after a while and it is going to be entertaining as hell.

That is all for now!

Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I am very excited about Blue Lock Season 2, it is going to be a hype fest once again and I cannot wait for it. With that said, I will take my leave here. I am off to play some more Skyrim. See ya!
