DanMachi Season 4 P2 Review: Awesome!

Key Takeaways from my DanMachi Season 4 P2 Review:
- My thoughts on the whole season
- Why you should or should not check out this season
- Spoiler-free
Back when DanMachi Season 4 original came out last year, I was not expecting the season to hit that hard. The first half was pretty normal too, usual DanMachi stuff, Dungeon exploration, and learning new things. Then the 2nd half rolled around and wow it hit hard.Β Every expectation from the season and DanMachi were shattered in an instant replaced by pure surprise and questions.
So welcome to my final review of DanMachi Season 4 P2. I know I am 3 episodes early but, there are a lot of animes to review in this season and I have to start somewhere so I picked this. This has been a really good season and I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. So let’s get started on it.

Plot
Being the 2nd half of the 4th season, we of course pick up back from exactly where the previous part left out. Bell has been separated from his party and he and Ryu are in dire straights. His party would head to rescue him but, they’re in a bit of a pickle of their own. The plot is really good. Dark, grim, and really well-paced/presented. It really does a great job of showing us how dangerous the dungeon truly can be.
My one big problem with this season is that plot armor is really obvious. I don’t mind plot armor, but at least try to hide it. In this season, there are a few moments where the plot armor is really apparent. They could have masked it better. Other than that, the plot is really solid. It is nothing I would have expected from DanMachi before season 4. We get a nice long trip to the dungeon, more info about how the whole thing works, get to see its “security measures” and then there is the whole exploration segment with Bell and Ryu, which is once again, amazing.
Characters
So undoubtedly, the biggest winner when it comes to character development in this season is Ryu. We get a substantial amount of backstory and character expansion for her. The way they included the flashbacks in the anime is really well done. Now after that, Haruhime and the group gain a little bit of character development too. Especially Welf has been killing it in recent episodes.
Animations and Soundtracks
The animations in DanMachi Season 4 P2 look really good. I know they’re a little inconsistent, but the whole hydra fight looked so good that I don’t mind the inconsistencies. Definitely feels like a cut above what we’ve seen before. As for the soundtracks, I dig the new opening and ending themes. Other than that, the battle music is really good at times but that’s about it. Nothing too spectacular to highlight overall.
Conclusion
Well here are my final scores for DanMachi Season 4 P2:
- Plot – 8/10
- Characters – 9/10
- Animations – 7/10
- Soundtracks – 7/10
- Enjoyment – 8/10
- Comeback for the series – 10/10
- Overall – 8/10
DaMachi Season 4 P2 is a really solid season overall and it is definitely worth watching the series just so you can experience this part in particular. Those were my thoughts and opinions though, let me know what you think in the comments and I will take my leave here. See ya!!
