DanMachi Season 5 has been amazing. Season 4 really pushed the series in a darker direction and Season 5 is just the escalation of that. When people told me that DanMachi would only get darker, I did not expect this. Season 5 had so many crazy moments I don’t even know where to start. And aside from the batshit insane story, Season 5 did so much for Bell’s character too on top of that. But now the conclusion of DanMachi Season 5 has been delayed so Episode 12 and onwards will air at a later date.
I don’t why this decision was made considering that there are only 3 more episodes left. But well, all we can do is wait. So welcome to another news article and let’s talk about DanMachi Season 5 Episode 12 being delayed. And I’ll give you my thoughts on the season so far after that. Let’s get started.
What do we know about DanMachi Season 5 Episode 12 Delay?
So episode 12 of DanMachi Season 5 was supposed to come out this week, we already knew that this season was going to be 14 episodes total. But it was announced that Episodes 12 and onward of Season 5 have been delayed to the Spring 2025 season. The studio cited production reasons as the cause of the delay. Previously, episode 9 of Season 5 was also delayed from November 29th to December 5th. While production issues are usually concerning, the quality of the show hasn’t been affected yet. So I don’t see a reason to worry.
The studio promised that the anime would come back early next year. I just hope that everyone at the studio is alright. We’ve seen too many horror stories of troubled productions, I don’t need to see another one. The official website of the anime also revealed a teaser visual for the Faction War arc finale as well. But yeah, that covers all the news for now. So let’s move on to
My Thoughts
I remember something similar happened with Eighty-Six Part 2 back in the day. The wait to see the conclusion of Season 1 felt like forever lol. If I recall correctly, the delay period was similar too of about 3 months. But the DanMachi anime team has been putting out sequels consistently and I am fairly certain that this is their first major delay in the long lifespan of the anime. So I am not exactly worried about how the anime will turn out to be. That said, I really wish DanMachi had a better production, so many scenes in this anime are held back by the lower-quality animations, I swear,
But again, I just hope that everything is fine at the studio and they are just facing some scheduling issues that led to this delay. Anime production can be hell at times and I hope that the anime team is fine. Season 5 of DanMachi has been excellent and I cannot wait to see how this amazing arc concludes. It is a shame that the finale is delayed by over 3 months but hey, if they need more time to cook then I am more than happy to give it to them.
