Here we are again at that odd place. What odd place I mean? The mixed feeling you get when a piece of media you like is coming to an end. On one side you are happy/excited to see the ending, on the other you’re sad. And in this case, that media piece happens to be Darwin’s Game Manga.

Well, I at least hope that the anime will get another season now that the manga is ending. Cause this manga rarely gets the appreciation it deserves. And a good sequel to the anime adaptation can fix that. You know, the first season was pretty good, why not make another one?

What do we know about the Darwin’s Game Manga finale?

The manga was written and illustrated by FLIPFLOPs. It had been serialized in the Bessatsu Shonen Champion magazine since December 2012. And the manga will end on chapter 125, which will be published in the November issue of the magazine, coming out on October 12th, 2023, The 28th volume of the series was shipped last month, with the 29th volume planned for the next month. So I think it is fair to assume that the 30th volume will be the final volume of the series.

Story-wise, I think it had been clear for the past few chapters now that the ending is approaching soon. Of course, there are no updates on the anime yet, I hope we get another season in the future. But maybe it was just a 1 season thing since the anime did change some stuff around from the manga… either way, let’s move on to

My thoughts

As I said, for a few chapters, it had been apparent that the ending is coming soon. That said, I did not expect to see chapter 125 as the ending point, I thought it’d go on for just a bit longer. Of course, it goes without saying, I am really excited to see the ending of the series. I can’t really comment on the story without giving away massive spoilers but there are things I’d really like to know before the ending. Abd hopefully, the remaining chapters answer our questions.
