I mean, what do you even want me to say here? You know UFOTable does not hold back on its animations. It is just flexing at this point man. I know a lot of people complain that UFOTable put out anime very slowly. But honestly, I don’t mind waiting if this is the kind of quality they are putting out. Demon Slayer Swordsmith Village Arc first episode was pure fan service for 49 minutes straight.
So welcome back to another one of my first impressions articles. Today we are talking about Demon Slayer Swordsmith Village Arc. And man, what an amazing way to open a season. I really have no words. The first episode was just amazing. So let’s talk about it.
What did I think about Demon Slayer Swordsmith Village Arc episode 1?
We start off right after the Entertainment District arc. Tanjiro is taken back to the Butterfly Mansion to recover but, my boy has been out for 2 months straight after the fight with Daki and Gyutaro. He is soon told that his Nichirin Blade has not arrived and that Haganezuka-san has been missing. As such, he is advised to go to the Swordsmith Village and soon gets permission to do that.
Now, the village is supposed to be a secret place so he is blindfolded and carried there. He soon meets up with the Mayor of the town and he tells him to wait for Haganezuka-san to return. He of course soon runs into the Love Hashira, Kanroji Mitsuri. And the episode ends with him running into the Mist Hashira, Muichiro.
Now, I left out the most important part of the episode on purpose. We get an absolutely stunning scene of the Infinity Castle as Akaza arrives there. We get our formal introduction to the top 5 members of the Upper Moon. Muzan is obviously not very happy since they have been losing members and are still not close to the Blue Spider Lillies. Now sparing you the details, let me just say, this section looked awesome as hell. The opening theme is really good too. As I said, UFOTable is just flexing its animations at this point.
Conclusion
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the episode. An excellent opening to one of the most anticipated sequels of this year. I envy the people who got to watch it in the theatres because the animations and sound design were top-notch. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below. I am really excited to see the upcoming fights and the Infinity Castle arc is going to be one hell of a treat that much is clear. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
