Oh, this is a happy day. They took their sweet time with this announcement. Cause of course this was gonna happen sooner or later. It’d be a waste not to capitalize on the massive success of Season 1. So yes, Frieren Season 2 has been confirmed to be in production. And I cannot tell just how happy this announcement makes me. There is nothing quite like Frieren on the market and I think the show surprised a lot of people with how good it was. So yeah, expectations for Season 2 are through the roof. More on that later though.
Welcome to another news article. And today is a very happy day as we finally get to talk about Frieren Season 2. Again, not much news to cover since it’s just an announcement for now. But hey, I am very excited to talk about it so let’s get right into it.
About Frieren Season 2
So there was an anniversary event for Frieren today, 28th September. The event announced that a second season of the anime is under production. It was also confirmed that Madhouse, the studio that produced the first season will be returning to make the second season as well. Aside from that, we got a teaser visual and an announcement teaser. That’s about it really, no release windows or anything just yet. But I think it’s safe to assume that the cast from Season 1 will return to reprise their respective roles.
You can check out the announcement teaser here! And let’s move on to
My Thoughts
I don’t even know how to express just how happy this announcement makes me. The PEAK is coming back and everyone is excited. Frieren is an anime we didn’t know we needed but when it came out, it was so fresh and it just blew us all away. The tone, the world-building, and the characters… very few animes come even close to Frieren in the kind of experience it can deliver.
As a testament to just how good this show is, even after about 6 months since the show ended, it is still the highest-rated anime on MAL. I know that I should not treat MAL rankings as a reflection of quality but if you know MAL, you know that no anime stays above FMAB in rankings for long. 6 months above FMAB is probably a record, and it’s ahead by a good margin too. So yeah, you can imagine just how the expectations for Season 2 and I am sure it will deliver.
That is all for now
Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. As you can tell, Frieren Season already has me going Super Saiyan with excitement. I am sure I will just evolve when it finally drops lol. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
Season 4 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime was also recently confirmed, here are the details!
