Grand Blue Season 2 Episode 1 was UNHINGED

Article at a glance:
- Grand Blue is finally back after 7 years, and it feels like nothing’s changed — still the same chaotic, booze-fueled madness we all fell in love with.
- Season 2 Episode 1 instantly delivers, with everything from hilarious letters to Iori’s sister to Kohei going full anime-otaku mode.
- This premiere brought back so many memories, and I’m just glad the magic (and the madness) is still very much alive.

Man, finally getting to watch Grand Blue Season 2 feels like meeting that friend from high school again after many years, and nothing has changed about them, at all. They’re still just as insane as they were back in the day. And to me, that’s really accurate. Gran Blue Season 1 came out 7 years ago, and I actually was in high school at that time. And yeah, suffice to say, Grand Blue Season 2 Episode 1 brought back a lot of fond memories. And I am glad that I still enjoy this show as much as I did back in the day.
So welcome back to another first impressions article, and man, it feels weird to say, but Grand Blue Season 2 Episode 1 is finally out. After all these years, I can’t believe that I get to talk about Grand Blue Season 2, finally. So let’s get into it.

What did I think of Grand Blue Season 2 Episode 1?
So Iori apparently has a sister, who sends in a letter asking about how Iori is doing and all. Pretty sweet, right? Well, only one issue, Iori really hasn’t been doing well, has he? He can’t just tell his little sister that well; he spends most of his day drunk, partying with muscular naked dudes. And neither has he been doing well academically, we all remember that iconic cheating scene from Season 1 lol. So he twists the truth to fit his desires and sends back a reply.
I won’t reveal what his sister actually does, but even just him being lost over how to reply to his sister is hilarious. Also, the whole letter writing serves as a nice recap for Season 1 without being dragged out too long. That isn’t the unhinged part, no, the real unhinged part comes a bit later when Kohei finds out Iori has a sister… we all know how much Kohei is into Imouto characters and WOW, the news that Iori has a sister just sets him OFF. The faces in Grand Blue have always been crazy, but Kohei just killed it in this episode with his unhinged faces.

Then the whole 2nd half of the episode where Iori tries his best to sneak around Chisa and steal a spicy photograph from her lol. Again, I won’t spoil how that whole segment ends, but it is hilarious. This episode was exactly what I wanted, and it was thoroughly entertaining for the whole runtime. I can’t describe how happy finally getting to watch this episode made me. Solid intro to Season 2, let’s see what more we have in store for us lmao.
That is all for now
Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I am SO happy that Grand Blue is finally back, and man, I look forward to another season filled with absolute madness, chaos, and more naked drunk parties. With that said, I will take my leave here. I need some sleep. See ya!!
