Kagurabachi Anime Confirmed!

Article at a glance:

• After blowing up over the past year, Kagurabachi is officially getting an anime adaptation, and surprisingly, the announcement gave us way more than just a “we’re working on it” teaser.
• The series will be handled by studio CyPic with Tetsuya Takeuchi directing and Taihai Kimura starring as Chihiro Rokuhira.
• We won’t have to wait years for this one; the anime is already scheduled for an April 2027 release, and the first teaser PV is already looking incredibly sharp.

Well, it was only a matter of time, wasn’t it? Now, I haven’t read Kagurabachi myself, but given how much this anime blew up in the last year or so, I am not surprised it’s getting an anime already. And to my surprise, they actually told us when the anime is coming out. Usually, these initial announcements don’t have much to offer at all lol. They’re usually just there to tell us “oh yeah, we’re working on this anime, we can’t tell you when it’s coming out or what studio is working on it, though” or something. But this announcement does have quite a bit of detail.

So yeah, welcome back to our first major news article in a long time. Today, we are talking about the Kagurabachi anime, and I have to say, it looks promising. So let’s get started.

What do we know about the Kagurabachi Anime?

This news comes to us courtesy of yesterday’s Fifth Jump Fest livestream. And to my surprise, they had a lot more info than your usual anime announcements. So first and foremost, Kagurabachi will be made by CyPic, formerly CyGames Pictures. And if that name means anything to you, it’s the studio that made a bunch of the Umamusume animes, including both seasons of Cinderella Gray. They also made The Summer Hikaru Died. So it is a pretty decent studio.

Taihai Kimura will be starring as the protagonist, Chihiro Rokuhira. Tetsuya Takeuchi will direct the anime. And it is less than a year away, as it is scheduled for an April 2027 release. On top of all this, we also got a teaser PV, which you can check out here.

So let’s move on to

My Thoughts

Once again, I don’t know anything about Kagurabachi. I don’t even know what the manga is about. But I do know that a lot of people liked it, and I do know that the teaser PV looked really damn cool. So yeah, count me in, I think the anime could be cool. Of course, I don’t expect it to have the craziest story or anything, but I can tell that the action will be fun given how much blood there is in the PV lol. On top of that, they got a pretty good studio as well.

As for the director, while his previous directorial credits are nothing to write home about, he has worked on key animation for shows like Gintama, Hunter x Hunter, JJK, and JoJo Part 5. So I hope he understands how a shounen like Kagurabachi would work and pulls off a good season. But uh, yeah, that’s all I can say without sounding like an idiot lol. I do look forward to the anime, though, and it’s not really that far away, either.

That is all for now

But yeah, let me know what you guys think in the comments. Should I check out Kagurabachi? Tell me in the comments. I will take my leave here. I have some work to take care of. See ya!
