Liar Game Anime Unveils 2nd Cour Visual, Trailer, Theme Songs, and New Cast Members
The Liar Game TV anime has unveiled exciting updates for its ongoing second cour. Fans can now enjoy a brand-new key visual and trailer that highlight the intense and suspenseful atmosphere of the series.
The anime originally premiered in Japan on April 6, 2026, and is planned to run for two consecutive cours. This new batch of episodes introduces fresh elements, including theme songs from notable Japanese bands. The opening theme, titled “All in,” is performed by the rock group Kroi. Meanwhile, the ending theme “Still Not Enough” comes from the three-piece band muque. Both songs are featured prominently in the latest trailer, which also has an English-subtitled version available.
Along with the visuals and music, a number of new voice actors have joined the cast. These include Natsuki Hanae as Norihiko Yokoya, Junya Hirano as Kota Akagi, and Tomohiro Yamaguchi as Kenji Ikezoe. Additional cast members are Kengo Tsujii, Reigo Yamaguchi, Tatsumaru Tachibana, Seiyu Fujiwara, Kikunosuke Toya, and Shinya Takahashi, who round out the expanded lineup.
The returning main cast features Saya Hitomi as the honest Nao Kanzaki and Takeo Otsuka as the clever Shinichi Akiyama. Supporting voices include Jun Fukuyama, Nobuo Tobita, and Yo Taichi among others. Their performances continue to bring depth to this psychological thriller.
Madhouse handles the animation, with Yuzo Sato serving as chief director. Asami Kawano directs the series, while Tatsuhiko Urahata takes on series composition. Kei Tsuchiya designs the characters, and Kisuke Koizumi directs the sound, all combining to maintain the anime’s high quality.
Liar Game is based on Shinobu Kaitani’s manga, which was serialized in Weekly Young Jump from 2005 to 2015. The story revolves around a dangerous game filled with deception and strategy. Nao Kanzaki finds herself trapped in the Liar Game where survival depends on lies and clever moves. With Shinichi Akiyama’s help, she aims to outsmart her opponents.
The manga has inspired multiple live-action adaptations, including Japanese and Korean dramas and films. REMOW secured global streaming rights last year, and Crunchyroll currently streams the series in several countries.
