Mahoutsukai no Yome OVA Release Date Confirmed

Mahoutsukai no Yome is a fantastic anime. It has a really dark plot and hits hard in quite a few places. Some people may not like it but, it is anime you should not sleep on. It originally aired from October 2017 to March 2018 and was made by WIT Studio.The original anime was 24 episodes long and had a 3 episode prequel OVA by WIT Studio again.
On Friday (4th June) the official website announced the new cast members and revealed the trailer. I will link the trailer below.

What do we know about the new OVA?
The new OVA is set to air in the summer season. More specifically, it is going to start airing on September 10the. The 3 episodes of the OVA will be shipped with volumes 16-18 of the manga. The first episode will be shipped with the 16th volume on 10th September. A new studio named Studio Kafka made this. This OVA will be their first project.
As for the plot, the OVA is a spin-off. The name of the arc is “Nishi no Shounen to Seiran no Kishiβ (Boy from the West and the Blue Storm Knight). The story takes place Chise became an auditor at the academy. It is about Sprigganβs strange message and a normal boy being mixed up in the world of wizards. Expectations
The plot of the anime and the previous OVA was really good so I am expecting good things from this OVA. The anime did kind of died near the end but that was because the anime had to improvise as it had caught up with the manga and WIT wanted to end it. Otherwise, the anime is really good. If you like anime with a dark plot, this should tickle your fancy.
As for the animations, I am not sure what to expect. It is really just the first work of a new studio. The old staff and the cast are reprising their roles. There are a few new additions to the cast for new characters. You can check out the trailer here.
Overall, I really expect this OVA to be really good. The other OVA Hoshi Matsu Hito (Those Awaiting a Star) was really good so I think this will be really good as well. I really love this series so I want the OVA to be good. The trailer looks really pretty. If they keep up this animation quality, I donβt see them losing to WIT. That is saying a lot alright.
