May I Ask for One Final Thing episode 7 was Good

Article at a glance:

  • May I Ask for One Final Thing Episode 7 keeps the streak of weird, fun creativity going, nothing deep, just pure entertainment done right.
  • The Palmia Cult vs. Dianism setup is heating up fast, with political moves, shady conversions, and a corrupt businessman prophet.
  • Scarlet stays peak Scarlet—flat arc, maximum chaos, and yes, still punching her way through dragons, cathedrals, and whatever else gets in her way.

See, this is the kind of weirdly creative innovation I want from anime. Sure, May I Ask for One Final Thing may not be a deep story, full of character growth and world-building. It is just a random concept that happens to be a lot of fun. And sometimes, that’s all you need. I do realize that I sound like a hypocrite right now, but come on, man. It doesn’t hurt to do something weird with the formula once in a while. But yeah, May I Ask for One Final Thing Episode 7 dropped recently, and man, this episode had so much setup for the future.

You just know something big is about to go down, and I am here for it. As fun as the Slave Auction arc was, this arc looks to be even better because of its sheer scale. So welcome back, another mid-season review, and today we are talking about May I Ask for One Final Thing Episode 7. So let’s get started.

What did I think of May I Ask for One Final Thing Episode 7?

Not gonna lie, this whole story arc about the Palmia Cult vs. the Dianism has been pretty interesting. Dianism was the old religion, led by the Holy Maiden and stuff. Something that the country previously followed, but because of recent political shifts, Palmianism has taken over a bunch of the nobility. And their leader is literally a corrupt businessman, yeah, take that as you will. But here’s where it gets more interesting. The actual villainess, the pink-haired one, has been converting a lot of corrupt nobility to Palmianism. Let’s see where that goes.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an article about May I Ask for One Final Thing without going over Scarlet’s shenanigans. She’s one of the rare good examples where a character with a flat character arc works well. The general structure of the arcs so far seems to be that something bad happens, and Scarlet just punches her way to fix things. Sure, various other things are connecting these arcs, but this pattern seems to work just fine so far. And I mean, come on, if you see someone punch a damn dragon into submission, you gotta admit it’s pretty cool.

Like, imagine entering the main cathedral of a religion and just punching the hell out of every soldier you see and basically abusing their divine protection to make them living punching bags lol. Somehow, this anime has better animations than One PNG Man Season 3, but jokes aside, the animations are decent, and the action is serviceable. Also, the ending theme is such a banger lol.

That is all for now

So yeah, let me know what you guys think of May I Ask for One Final Thing in the comments. I will take my leave here. I am SICK and I need some rest lol. Too much Time Stranger, I suppose. With that said, though, I will take my leave here. See ya!
