Article at a glance:
- MF Ghost Season 3 is officially in production, with a teaser trailer and visual revealed. A Fall 2025 release is speculated but not confirmed.
- Season 2 shifted its focus to races, minimizing weaker SoL aspects, making it more engaging than Season 1.
- Season 3 is expected to emphasize Kanata and Sena’s rivalry, with hopes for stronger character dynamics akin to Initial D.
Man, tell you what, I was quite close to dropping this show. Season 1 of MFG failed to grab me. Yes, there was potential, but all the other issues overshadowed that potential. Season 2, though, despite having a slower pace than Season 1 (about seven episodes of Season 2 cover a single race), is a lot more fun than Season 1. So with how good season 2 was in mind, I am actually excited about MF Ghost Season 3. Season 2 improved a lot by pulling back on the aspects Season 1 didn’t do well and focusing more on the races. I hope that Season 3 carries over the same trend.
Welcome back to another news article. Today, we are talking about MF Ghost Season 3. There is not a lot of news to cover as it is just the initial announcement, but I still wanted to talk about it because MFG Season 2 did an amazing job of drawing me back into the series. So, let’s talk about it!
What do we know about MF Ghost Season 3?
The 12th and final episode of MFG Season 2 concluded with the announcement that Season 3 is under production. A teaser trailer for Season 3 was also revealed along with the announcement. And the official website of the anime also revealed a teaser visual for Season 3. Season 1 and Season 2 were exactly a year apart so I assume Season 3 will also be in the Fall 2025 season but we will, that part isn’t official yet lol. But yeah, that is all they announced for now.
You can check out the teaser PV here!
So let’s move on to
My Thoughts
As I said earlier, MF Season 2 was a lot of fun so I have high hopes for Season 3. It is pretty clear that Season 3 will focus highly on the rivalry between Sena and Kanata. I hope that going forward those two develop a great dynamic like Keisuke and Takumi did in Initial D. The characters in MFG need a lot of work, Initial D has some great characters but MFG just sucks at SoL moments. The reason I like Season 2 so much more than Season 1 was because they scaled back the SoL stuff and focused more on the races.
I know what said might sound contradictory but the show really needs to work on the characters man. Other than that though, Season 3 looks hype and I look forward to it. It should be a fun time.
That is all for now
Let me know what you guys think in the comments. MF Ghost Season 3 has a lot of potential and I hope that the show delivers on it. But yeah, with that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
