Man, I will inevitably make a mistake in the spelling of that title, lol. There are exactly 6 U’s in GQuuuuuuX, and it will be hard to count that every single time. But yeah, after getting a bunch of news about Gundam SEED, we finally have a new Gundam anime to look forward to. It is called Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX and I have no idea how to pronounce that. But we have a brand new Gundam anime to talk about and it does look pretty damn exciting,
So welcome back to another news article. We are starting off this week with a bang as we have some cool Gundam news to talk about. We are talking about Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX and as I said, it does look exciting. So let’s get started right away.
What do we know about Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX?
To start off, this season of Gundam will be made by both Surinse and Khara, which is insane. If you don’t know, Khara is the studio founded by Hideaki Anno and others after they left Gainax. Sp in many ways, Khara is the OG mech studio. Aside from that, GQuuuuuuX will be directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki. The main cast of the show will feature Tomoya Kurosawa, Yui Ishikawa, and Shinba Tsuchiya. The first few episodes of the series will be released as a movie in certain Japanese theatres on 17th January. The full show will come out later.
The plot follows a high-school student, Amate who lives in a space colony. One day, meets a war refuge, Nyaan. And through him, she discovers the underground Mobile Suit dueling sport, Clan Battle. Piloting the GQuuuuuuX, Amate also starts taking part in these Clan Battles. Of course, the plot is sure to have the typical Gundam talking points. I am curious how this plot turns out to be after the intense ride that was the Witch from Mercury. Check out the announcement trailer here!
My Thoughts
As a fan of the genre, the announcement of a new Gundam series is a big talking point as is but the fact that they got Khara involved in this really does make me happy. I am pretty sure Khara has produced a few Gundam seasons before this too but regardless, it is always good to see Khara’s continued involvement in the mech genre. The Witch from Mercury had a really strong plot and it was quite dark as well so I am curious to see how far GQuuuuuuX will go. The synopsis doesn’t look too complex but that’s no ground to judge the overall plot lol.
That is all for now!
So yeah, let me know what you guys think in the comments. I look forward to watching GQuuuuuuX whenever it drops next year. With that said, I will take my leave here. I got my hands on Path of Exile 2 early access hehe. See ya!
