Alright, boys, which one of y’all greenlit this? You absolute madlad, do you not know about THAT ending of the game? Most of you reading know damn well which ending I mean. But somehow, Needy Girl Overload still managed to get an anime adaptation lol. Don’t get me wrong, it is a damn good game, but like, really, bro? So yeah, what an absolute surprise, and I am not complaining. I can say this, though, even ignoring “those” aspects of the game, it will be pretty challenging to adapt.
But more on that later, let’s go over all the news first. So welcome back to another article, and today we are talking about the Needy Girl Overdose anime announcement lol. So let’s just get started.
What do we know about the Needy Girl Overdose Anime?
If you don’t know, Needy Girl Overdose is a visual novel by WSS Playground that launched in January 2022. The game puts you in the shoes of the manager and friend of an upcoming streamer/idol. And your choices and actions decide if she has a wholesome career with a happy ending or succumbs to the online toxicity and ends up in a dark place. As far as the anime goes, Animplex opened an official website for the anime adaptation and dropped a bunch of info.
The anime will be directed by Masaoki Nakajima at Yostars Pictures. Along with a look at all the main staff of the anime, we also know that the anime is scheduled for an April 2026 release. Other than all that, the announcement also featured a key visual and announcement PV, which you can check out here.
But yeah, that covers all the news. So let’s move on to
My Thoughts
It will be interesting to see how the anime adaptation handles the “player character”. Because your PC’s design is never shown in the game, I don’t know how else to say it, but see a bit of the gameplay, and you will know what I mean. Other than that, this game can get surprisingly dark with a lot of hard-hitting moments and plenty of bad endings. So it will be interesting to see how the anime handles all that and which route the anime ends up taking with the adaptation.
Because you know, it is pretty rare for all routes of a VN to get anime adaptations. So I do look forward to seeing which route the anime ends up picking. Personally, I know which route I want to see; we all know what leads to that ending. And I, of course, mean the happy ending, you filthy degenerates. Your dirty thoughts disgust me.
That is all for now
Certainly an interesting VN to get to an anime adaptation if I say so myself. But I look forward to watching it if nothing else lol. Let me know what you guys think, and I am sure we are all wishing to see the happy ending adaptation, right? With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
Also, check out my thoughts on the Death Stranding anime series here lol!
