Ninja Kamui is Awesome!

Key points for Ninja Kamui Mid-Season review:

  • Ninja Kamui delivers exhilarating action akin to John Wick, with flawlessly animated fights and parkour scenes that keep viewers hooked.
  • While the plot may feel predictable at times, the series thrives on well-voiced and written characters whose interactions create engaging dynamics, compensating for any narrative shortcomings.
  • The anime’s metal soundtrack complements its fast-paced action, enhancing the overall experience and perfectly fitting the tone of the series.

I have no idea who made this anime, it is some studio called E&H Production that I have never heard of before. I don’t recognize the director of the show either. Ninja Kamui came out of nowhere in the middle of the season. And it rocks. I can’t describe how satisfying this is to watch. Yes, it does have its issues which we will talk about in this article too. But there are a few things it does right and those few things alone are enough to make this anime worth a watch.

So welcome back to another mid-season review. I am writing this article at 3 a,m. in the morning. Why? Well, because my sleep schedule is messed up. Anyway though, today we are talking about Ninja Kamui once again. I did an article on it a few weeks ago discussing my early impressions of the series. And today I’d like to talk about it a little more so let’s get started.

What do I think of Ninja Kamui?

I compared this series to John Wick a lot in my previous article on it. And honestly, yeah, that is what the base plot of the series is like. The details of the plot are different and the setting is completely different as well. But it is the same kind of edgy as John Wick, I have to say, and to be honest, the plot might be the weakest link in this series. I am not saying that the plot is bad, just that at certain moments, to me, the plot felt rather predictable. But for the most part, you won’t even notice it because of how strong the strengths of this series are.

You see the series is driven by its characters and action. Both of which are flawless. The characters are incredibly well voice-acted, they are rather well-written as well. I wish we had more character arcs but even in the absence of character arcs, things have been working out pretty well because of how well the personalities of the different characters meld together. Making every interaction fun.

And then, of course, there is the action. The animations in Ninja Kamui are incredibly smooth. The fights are fast-paced and well-directed. There are multiple parkour scenes in the anime as well and they are also really well-animated. Accompanying the awesome animations is a metal soundtrack and honestly, that genre fits this anime perfectly.

That is all for now!

So yeah, Ninja Kamui is awesome. Despite a basic plot, the interesting setting, great characters and fantastic action more than make up for it. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!
