Key points for Oshi no Ko Season 2 news:
- Oshi no Ko Season 2 was officially announced with a teaser trailer and key visual at a recent event in Japan.
- The upcoming season is set to premiere in 2024 and will focus on the rivalry between characters Arima Kana and Kurokawa Akane.
Bruh, how many times has this happened? I talk about some old anime and then a sequel gets announced the next LOL. Well, Oshi no Ko Season 2 was announced pretty much as soon as Season 1 ended but still. What is this timeline? We are getting sequels to so many old anime, CM Punk, Randy Orton and R-Truth returned to the WWE on the same night, I got a new laptop today… wait, I got sidetracked.
Jokes aside, it is good to finally have more info on Oshi no Ko Season 2. I hope that it airs in the Spring season too, exactly a year after season 1. But let’s cover all the official announcements first before going into all that.
So welcome back to another news article, and you know what we are talking about today. Let’s get started!
What do we know about Oshi no Ko Season 2?
As I mentioned earlier, it was announced that Season 2 is under production pretty much as soon as Season 1 finished airing. We got some more info on it today. There was a pretty big Oshi no Ko event in Japan today, a lot of voice actors from the show were present for the event as well. At the event, a new key visual and the first teaser trailer for Season 2 were revealed. Also, it was confirmed that Season 2 will premiere sometime in 2024.
You can check out the teaser trailer here. Aside from Aqua, the trailer and the visual prominently feature Arima Kana and Kurokawa Akane. If you have read the manga, you will know that the next arc is all about them and their “rivalry”.
As I said, I’d be really happy if Season 2 also comes out in the Spring season, just like Season 1 but a year later LOL. I don’t know why but the prospect of that happening is very appealing to me. I guess the monkey brain likes to see consistent patterns in everything. And the fact that we got the teaser and the key visual at this point, gives me hope that this will indeed be a spring anime.
Goofing around aside, the upcoming arc is really good. We have only seen Akane at her lowest in Season 1. In the upcoming arc, we get to see her “true” character. It is an awesome arc and I cannot wait for it. It is sure to be a delight for Akane and Kana fans. I’m Akane gang for life, btw, don’t @ me.
That is all for now!
So yeah, that is enough goofing around. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. Oshi no Ko Season should be really good and I cannot wait for it. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
