Otonari no Tenshi-sama: Mid-Season Review

Yes, I am doing this review earlier than I originally intended to. Cause I just watched episode 4 of the anime I felt like IΒ haveΒ to talk about this anime today. Otonari no Tenshi-sama is an anime I picked up randomly from the season listings. But now after episodes 3 and 4, it is fair to say it has immediately climbed up my personal rankings to become one of my favorites from this season.
So welcome back to another mid-season review. This one’s a little early but still, a mid-season review. Today we are talking about Otonari no Tenshi-sama. I absolutely love this anime. After the recent episodes, it has really grown on me and IΒ cannotΒ wait to see more of it. It won’t be a full technical review, that will have to wait till the end of the season. Just an update on what I think about this anime. So let’s get rolling.

What do I Think of Otonari no Tenshi-sama so far?
First and foremost man, episode 4 was awesome. It immediately raised the rating of the anime in my mind. The character development through the first 4 episodes has been really good. I hope it continues that way. Shiina, while adorable, her character didn’t really resonate with me in the first episode but after seeing her for 4 episodes, I really do like her.
Again, like Tomo-chan, Otonari no Tenshi-sama is carried by its characters. The key difference is, that aside from the main duo, the other characters don’t matter as much. Yes, the side characters have their roles to play but it could be anyone doing those things if you know what I mean. So this is one aspect I want to see some improvement in. It is just 4 episodes in right now so hopefully, this will be corrected in later episodes.
As for the presentation, it is amazing. The anime has been really well-paced so far and the animations are really pleasant to look at too. I love the art style, it is very fitting for a romance anime. Also, I have no idea what others think but Amane actually looks good. Like WTF, how did his friends never notice that lol? Anyhow, I really like Mahiru now. I think she’s adorable and her character has been brought out in a really good way. I really look forward to seeing how their relationship progresses.
Conclusion
As things stand right now, based on the 4 episodes that have aired, Otonari no Tenshi-sama gets a solid 9/10 from me. I really enjoyed episodes 3 and 4 so IΒ amΒ somewhat biased right now but, I still think the series is really good and definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of romance. Of course, this rating may change down the season but, that is genuinely what I think about it right now.
Those were my thoughts and opinions on Otonari no Tenshi-sama. Let me know what you think in the comments. Of course, this is all subjective, I liked something, doesn’t mean you have to as well. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
