Article at a glance:
- Vtuber Legend Episode 7: Not as unhinged as the previous episode but still entertaining with Kaeru’s backstory and wholesome yet quirky Vtuber dynamics.
- Tower of God Season 2 Episode 7: Significant plot development with a strong focus on Urek Mazino and setting long-term goals for the team.
- Too Many Losing Heroines Episode 6: Lemon’s maturity shines through, and Anna’s hilarious antics continue to add humor to the series.
- Alya Episode 7: Ayano creates a new meme-worthy moment, while subtle hints about the Suou family and sibling dynamics add depth.
- Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 7: Akane takes the spotlight, revealing her motivations and setting up a showdown with Kana in the next episode.
- Roze of the Recapture Episode 9: Packed with fan service for Code Geass fans, featuring many beloved characters from the original series, including an intense and chaotic second half.
Roze of the Recapture Episode 9 was pure fan service for us Code Geass fans in the best way possible. Things went completely awry and we got to see a whole bunch of characters we know and love from the original series. It started very subtly and then the episode went completely fan service mode in the second half. And I cannot wait to talk more about it.

This was an amazing week all around. Genshin Impact had probably their best livestream ever and then I was treated to some awesome anime episodes like Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 7 and Too Many Losing Heroines Episode 6. There was a lot to like this week and I am very happy, Alya Episode 7 gave us a new meme, once again. And Vtuber Legend was crazy once again.
So yeah, welcome back to another best episodes of the week article. This was the 7th week of the Summer 2024 season. There are a whole bunch of episodes I want to talk about from Roze Episode 9 to Alya Episode 7. So let’s get started.
Vtuber Legend Episode 7

So this episode wasn’t nearly as unhinged as last week’s episode but it was still out there lol. We got a decent backstory for Kaeru in this episode and the dynamic she formed with Awayuki was just gold. Kaeru’s character is quite something as is, she loves playing a baby and stuff. She even has a “tier” list of mommies…Uh yeah, this anime is weird lol. But her backstory was pretty good and she was genuinely happy to collab with Awayuki.
I also like how it takes a moment for characters to recognize each other since they haven’t necessarily met irl since they’re Vtubers and all. That’s a nice touch. And the second half of the episode was Awayuki and Chami going to an amusement park. Of course, shenanigans still ensued. So yeah, despite not being as unhinged as the last episode, this episode was still wholesome and a lot of fun while still being somewhat unhinged.
Tower of God Season 2 Episode 7

This episode was quite important from a plot perspective. First of all, whoever scored the BGM for this episode deserves a raise. The music for all the scenes with Urek Mazino was crazy. And you just know that Urek is going to be an important character later on. I wish we got to see a little more of him and Viole fighting but how the fight ended really goes to show that Viole is still Bam we know and love from season 1 despite everything he has been through.
We also got a little peek into the inner working of the FUG. Certain people are not happy with Viole being “stuck” with his current team. This episode also gave us a “long-term” goal for the team, reach floor 35 in 2 years. So yeah a lot of plot development for Tower of God this week.
Too Many Losing Heroines Episode 6

Lemon’s character really grew on me thanks to this episode. Despite her carefree attitude, this episode showed just how mature she is. And despite liking Ayano, she is actually happy that he is with Asagumo. I am sure that the next episode will continue her “mini-arc” as well and I have been liking how her character has been handled so far. Anna justifying her sweet tooth and overeating by using all kinds of weird logic has to be one of the funniest recurring jokes in the series.
And I love how Nukumizu is always trying to be considerate of others and stuff but Anna is just… She doesn’t even think twice about taking up Lemon’s grandmother’s offer of treating them to some sushi lol. Their interactions are always so much fun. Also, the modified Jesus quote at the end of the episode was hilarious.
Alya Episode 7

I love how it is Yuki who keeps giving us new memes every week but this week it was Ayano. And Ayano said something so outlandish that it even caught Yuki off guard. I am sure that her statement will be memed to death over the coming weeks. This week alone I saw so many memes stemming from it lol and rightfully so. But memes aside, this episode gave us a little bit of info on the Suou family. We can easily infer now that they’re the very rich and traditional kind.
And despite Yuki and Kuze not having a direct conversation in this episode at all, this episode said so much about their relationship. Siblings truly are oddballs, huh? Masha goes on to echo this sentiment later in the episode too. That little conversation between Msha and Kuze towards the end of the episode was so good. And of course, the next episode is going to be very important because of what happened in the final scene of this episode.
Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 7

Aye, we finally get an Akane-focused episode. While I was waiting for Aqua’s episode, I was still happy to get this Akane-focused episode too. She is one of my favorite characters in the series thanks to Season 2 now, Episode 7 sheds light on why Akane decided to become an actor and why she dislikes the “current” Kana. As they say “never meet your heroes” and that is kind of what happened between Akane and Kana. Akane wants to beat Kana at her best so she hates it when Kana pulls back on her acting.
Aqua also agrees with this observation. Kana is indeed at her best when her acting is dominant and commanding. The episode ends with Aqua and Akane deciding to “force the old Kana” out. So yeah, the next episode is definitely going to be Kana-focused and I look forward to that as well.
Roze of the Recapture Episode 9

Roze of the Recapture Episode 9 was the best kind of fan service possible for long-term fans. We’ve had our share of old character appearances with Lelouch and C.C. appearing in an episode or two and Cornelia and Gino being involved in the background. In this episode though we kind of get an update on what all of the characters from the original series are doing. We even see Akito and his friends from Akito the Exiled. And of course, we get to see Suzaku as Zero and Nunnally as well as Kaguya since the UFN is now involved with everything.
Yes, I do have my issues with how things between Ash and Sakuya play out but the second half of the episode makes up for all of that. I also like how everything that has transpired weighs on Sakuya, she cannot think straight for a good while. And well, Norland clearly did something and the 2nd half of Roze Episode 9 was just off the walls crazy.
That is all for now!
And that is it. I hope you had a good week. and I wish you have another good week ahead of you as well. We had some great episodes this week too and I look forward to seeing what the next week holds. So yeah, see ya!
