  • Shikanoko Episode 11: The shocking post-credits scene left viewers reeling, and the hunter segment featured fun media references.

Okay, Shikanoko Episode 11 has a crazy ending. I swear if it turns out that they were just trolling us with that ending next week, I’d be angry. That ending has pretty much left everyone in shock lol. And I wonder how many people missed that scene because it was a post-credits scene. But more on that later. We are approaching the end of the summer season and all of the animes from this season are slowly gearing up for their upcoming season finales. So this week was pretty awesome.

Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 10 was a pretty big deal for Aqua. Wistoria delivered another awesome action-packed episode with some nice character development. Vtuber Legend just got a bit more interesting while still continuing its unhinged humor. And Alya had another great episode; I wonder if people see Yuki in a different light after this episode. But yeah, this week was pretty damn stacked.

So welcome back to another edition of Best Episodes of the Week. This is the 11th week of the Summer 2024 season. We have exactly 2 more weeks to go in this season. And here are my favorite episodes from the week! Everything from Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 10 to Shikanoko Episode 11!

Wistoria Episode 10

This episode had some amazing action. This anime never fails to remind me of just how good its art and animations are and this episode was another testament to that. Will aside, Edward got one scene in this episode and that scene was cool as hell. I love how well Will and Wignall’s fight against those mage-killer monsters was animated. And then the last scene with both bad guys was pretty cool as well.

Speaking of Wignall, he got so much character development in this episode, He went from looking down on Will to realizing how similar they are and then going on to truly respect him. I really like their newfound friendship and Will helped Wignall overcome some of his self-doubts as well. And the little interactions between Lihanna and Collete we got in this episode were also so good. Now I am curious to see where this season will wrap up because there is very little downtime after this praxis arc is over. So we may end this season on a cliffhanger.

Vtuber Legend Episode 11

Very interested in seeing what is Hareru planning. She loves to work for her agency and she doesn’t plan on retiring so soon. So why did she agree to do a concert now after being asked for such a long time? Why does she want Awayuki to be involved in it? She did answer this question to Awayuki but in a very cryptic way lol. I am sure we will find out in the next episode but yeah, the plot just got more interesting thanks to Hareru.

And then the second half. Oh boy, the second half was crazy. Alice and Mahiro started cutting damn wrestling promos on Twitter arguing over who Awayuki belongs to lol. And of course, this ended in a live stream featuring all three with Alice and Mahiro “dueling” for Awayuki lol. I probably don’t even need to tell you how crazy the second half was. I really like how Mashiro went from a normal best friend to this oddly possessive “friend” lol.

Alya Episode 11

Okay, I have said that I love how cartoonishly evil Yuki pretends to be but holy shit, she took a little too far in this episode. She ensured that Kuze was out of the picture and then emotionally manipulated Alya to throw her off right before the afternoon broadcast interview started. I guess it goes to show that she is serious about winning but I really do think she went a little too far with this one.

And she did all this just to flex on Alya because as Kuze said, not many people would’ve heard the broadcast. I am very interested in seeing what Kuze does in the next episode now. Because he had this incredible smile that was a combination of disgust, anger, and excitement on his face after he learned what Yuki did. Boy is about to correct his sister in the next episode and I cannot wait for it.

Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 10

Wow, learning that he doesn’t have to continue his revenge really did something to Aqua, huh? For a moment after learning all that, he lost his life’s purpose. It took him a while to come to terms with the fact that it is okay for him to live normally now. And once he comes to terms with that, the change in his demeanor is instantly noticeable. I really like what this season has done for Aqua’s character. Guys would do anything but go to therapy, right? Aqua really needs it too.

And then this episode also had a great character moment for Ruby as well. Finally. She has been absent pretty much this whole season and we finally get reminded why is she such a great character in this episode. The natural charisma she got in spades from her mother, Ai was enough to motivate a burnt-out songwriter. The upcoming episodes are going to be very important for the siblings. And speaking of, I really like how Himekawa took to the news of Aqua and him being half brothers.

Shikaonoko Episode 11

Even putting the ending aside, Shikanoko Episode 11 was great. Koshitan fixing up Nokotan’s torn tracksuit was really sweet. And the whole segment of Shikanoko sleeping in class and causing chaos from it was quite funny as well. But the best part of the episode aside from the ending has to be that whole section with the hunter. So apparently they eat deer meat every 4th Saturday of the month in Hokkaido and you can figure out why the hunter was after Shikanoko after learning that much.

The whole segment with the hunter had references to god knows how many different pieces of media lol. The most obvious ones are Predator and the Fate/Stay Night. The hunter had his own version of the iconic “Unlimited Blade Works” chant from F/SN lol. And then in classic Shikanoko fashion, he leaves because his wife called him back of all things. But the ending has to be the craziest part of this episode. They pulled their own version of the Re: Zero “Who is Rem” moment and it still hit hard.

I have no idea what the next episode holds for us but, Shikanoko, please don’t leave us :c

That is all for now!

So yeah, those were my favorite episodes from this week. Definitely a stacked week and I enjoyed it a lot. I hope you had a good week and I hope you have a great week ahead of you as well. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
