The first month or the first 4 weeks of the Spring 2024 anime season are officially over and I’ve gotta say, the season genuinely surprised me. I thought there won’t be much to cover but no, there are still anime from this season that I want to check out. I don’t think it is Winter season levels of good yet but that is mostly because the Winter 2024 season also had some huge help from Frieren and The Apothecary Diaries continuing from Fall 2023.

Still, don’t let that take anything away from this season. This season doesn’t have one big name (except for Demon Slayer) to carry it instead it has a bunch of smaller anime and I truly do think that there is something for everyone in this season. So what I have been enjoying the most in Spring 2024? Well, here are my current top 5 favorite anime from this season!

Hon. Mentions: Kaiju no. 8, Spice and Wolf Remake, And Wind Breaker

Whisper Me a Love Song

This anime has a great tone and vibe that always puts a smile on my face. It’s my favorite romance anime this season, with awesome characters and fun dynamics. The main duo is especially well done, and I can’t wait to see their character arcs unfold – starting with Kino. Yori’s arc is also something I’m excited about. Looking forward to seeing more of these amazing characters!

That time I got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3

I know that Season 3 is off to a comparatively slow start but I don’t mind that at all. Because all this world-building will have a payoff later, trust me. This season is also scheduled for 24 episodes if I recall correctly so we will be here for a while. You know what you get with this series and this season is more of that. Currently, we are focusing more on world-building in Season 3 but trust me on this, the upcoming arc is worth every moment of buildup.

KonoSuba Season 3

KonoSuba is back! Missed its unique humor. Anime like KonoSuba, Gintama, Grand Blue, etc. handle humor just differently. The new season started wildly crazy. Episode 2’s ending was perfect. Excited for episode 3, bet it’s unhinged as hell. It just came out so I’ll watch it first thing after completing this article.

Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2

I didn’t expect this season to be all Rudy and Sylphy moments, of course, but boy episode 3 was quite something. It is rare for isekais to address such issues, especially in as serious a context as this. Apart from that, the show has been following the typical Mushoku Tensei plotline, with Rudy making an effort to mature and look after his new wife and their home. It is quite touching.

Sound Euphonium Season 3

Loved the Liz and the Blue Bird anime movie! As for Season 3, it maintains the strong character-driven storytelling the series is known for. Kumiko’s growth as a club president is satisfying to watch. Episode 3 was an amazing example of this. She constantly relies on her own past experiences to get better as the club president and it is always cool seeing her recall her ex-seniors who impacted her whenever she’s faced with certain situations.

That is all for now!

Well, those were my current top 5 favorite anime of the season. Curious to see how this list is affected by the end of Spring 2024. I don’t think it will change much though. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
