Summer 2026 Season Will be An Absolute Treat for Anime Fans!

- And that’s not even scratching the surface, with titles like Grand Blue Season 3, Ghost in the Shell, and The Elusive Samurai Season 2 also dropping, Summer 2026 might just be the best season we’ve seen in years.
I know that both the Spring and Winter 2026 Anime seasons have been amazing. 2026 has really been spoiling us anime fans rotten. And then, outside of whatever I am about to mention, we still have Dragon Ball Super Battle of Gods remastered coming up. And there are also the Naruto anniversary episodes. So yeah, even though we are almost halfway through the year, somehow we still have a lot of high-profile releases waiting for us. The Summer 2026 Anime season is similarly filled with some absolute heavy hitters, and I really wanted to talk about how excited I am.
Because, be it something as large as Bleach TYBW final part or something more low-key like Grand Blue Season 3, there is a LOT to look forward to in the Summer 2026 Anime season. Today, I want to highlight a few of the animes from the upcoming season I am interested in.
And once again, these are just shows I am currently interested in. I am obviously going to pick up more over the course of the season as I find out about more good ones lol. Anyway, let’s start with the most obvious one
Bleach TYBW Part 4
We’re finally here. After so many years, we are finally here to witness the grand finale of Bleach. This is the most excited I’ve ever been for an anime. I don’t think anything will even come close for me, personally. Like, the only other time I will be this excited is if Sony announces a Bloodborne PC port. Given how much original content Part 3 had and given the recent Part 4 trailer, y’all KNOW it is going to be filled to the brim with new content. The TYBW adaptation has improved over the manga in almost every single way so far.
So I really look forward to seeing how they improve on that messy finale. They have already started planting seeds for the upcoming conclusions. My only main wish is for Horn of Salvation and Aizen to get the proper time they deserve. Give me these two things, and I will be really happy with Part 4. Regardless, I REALLY look forward to it.
Mushoku Tensei III
Another much-anticipated sequel. We finally get to see Eris again after such a long time. Mushoku Tensei II was probably the best overall part of the whole show so far. I am very curious to see how they continue the story in Part 3. Because for every win that Rudy gets, he loses something else. So let’s see what his reunion with Eris ends up costing him. Besides that, I am curious about where the story goes as a whole, too. I know for a fact that Part 3 will once again also have a ton of world-building for us in the store.
But yeah, I don’t think I need to say any more on this. You get it, we know it will be awesome.
Youjo Senki II
It has been almost 10 years since Season 1 dropped lol. Yeah, I am not kidding, Youjo Senki Season 1 came out in 2017! That’s practically ancient history at this point. And finally, the Summer 2026 season will offer us the sequel to this anime. I have no idea what to expect from Youjo Senki Season 2 aside from Tanya being even more unhinged somehow. And honestly, I think I should rewatch Season 1 just to refresh my memory. Because it has been SUCH a long time since I last saw this anime.
But yeah, of course, I am very excited about this. Where do you even go after that utterly nutty Season 1 lol? But I guess we’ll find out in a few weeks.
Grand Blue Season 3
Yes! Grand Blue Season 3 is also coming out in Summer 2026! So insane that we waited YEARS for Season 2, and now Season 3 is here just a few months after Season 2. But anyone who has watched Grand Blue knows exactly what to expect. Some bottom-of-the-barrel, absolutely filthy comedy and some surprisingly heartfelt emotional scenes. This is the thing, man, people don’t realize. Grand Blue works so well as a comedy because of how well-written the characters are. And I, for one, cannot wait to see what type of antic Iori and his friends have in store for us once again.
I’ve only watched Seasons 1 and 2 five times each lmao. Can’t wait to add Season 3 to my comfort anime roster, too.
The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs 2
Another sequel I’ve been looking forward to for years. There’s just something about this anime that no other “otome game” type anime quite captures. Or maybe I just like seeing a vengeful TROLL go on the tear of a lifetime as he torments those who wronged him. Whatever the case, The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs 2 is coming soon, and if I recall, Season 1 had quite a drastic ending, too. Regardless, I should rewatch Season 1 for this too cause once again, it has been a while since I last saw Season 1 lol.
But wait, that’s not all. See, I already gave you 5 anime I am interested in. But that’s not all. Not even remotely close. There are still things like Skeleton Knight Season 2, I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day, Clevates Season 2, You and I Polar Opposites Part 2, the new Ghost in the Shell anime, and The Elusive Samurai Season 2. But there’s so, so much more on top of all this. These are just shows I plan on watching. So yeah, “something for everyone” doesn’t even begin to describe how STACKED Summer 2026 is! What a good time to be an anime fan.
