Bleach TYBW Episode 49: The Blade is the real fina Bleach TYBW Episode 49: The Blade is the real finale. Episode 50 is the aftermath and epilogue, so this is where the story actually ends. And after the break the studio took, it was worth every week of waiting. What makes it work is the scale. Every faction that had ever been at each other’s throats, fighting across all three worlds at once, and Yhwach still nearly winning. They needed two separate things just to pin him down for a few seconds. Even the Soul Society Research Bureau got their moment with that Hollow-energy cannon. And this is where the anime beats the manga outright. In the manga, this climax was Ichigo fighting him with Uryu turning up for the silver arrow, and that was mostly it. The anime version feels desperate. Everyone is clawing for an opening. It actually feels like three worlds are about to end. The voice acting, the choreography, the art direction, the music- all of it is near perfect. Movie-level animation. I do have one complaint, and it’s about three characters who should have been there and weren’t. Full review at the link in bio. #Bleach #BleachTYBW #ThousandYearBloodWar #Yhwach #AnimeReview
The Shadow Rising trailer shows Sakura holding a b The Shadow Rising trailer shows Sakura holding a baby Sarada, which puts Kishimoto’s new manga somewhere after The Last and before Boruto. And in a 2025 interview on the official Naruto site, he said Ikemoto is “completely in charge of the story” and that “it really is Ikemoto’s manga.” Which is a strange thing to say about something you’ve had writing credits on since 2023. To be clear, nothing is confirmed. Viz, Shueisha and Kishimoto have all said nothing, and honestly I don’t think they ever will. Boruto sells, and you don’t call a thing that sells non-canon. But if Shadow Rising tells a story that doesn’t bother lining up with Boruto, that’s about as close to a soft retcon as we’re getting. One Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 lands January 2027, One Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 lands January 2027, and the trailer just dropped. I’d honestly forgotten Part 2 was even a thing. I think my brain deleted Part 1 for self-preservation. For about a second I caught myself thinking “wait, this doesn’t look too bad,” and then realised that was just Part 1 lowering my standards. It still looks bad. Roughly 10 seconds of a one-minute trailer are recycled Part 1 clips, the animation is bare minimum, and this is supposed to be selling us on one of the most visually incredible arcs in any manga. Will I still watch it? Obviously. Morbid curiosity is undefeated. Also go read the comments on the trailer, they’re funnier than anything I wrote. Kishimoto is launching a new Naruto manga. It’s ca Kishimoto is launching a new Naruto manga. It’s called Naruto: Shadow Rising, announced at NYCC over the weekend, and right now that’s genuinely all we know. It’s part of Project Rasengan, a three-year slate of Naruto projects that also covers the 20th anniversary crossover and some mobile and card games. More details at Jump Festa, which despite being called Jump Festa 2027 is actually happening this December. Quick thing though, since I’ve seen people getting it wrong: Kishimoto has been writing Boruto since 2020. “Kishimoto is back” isn’t quite the fix people think it is. A fresh project with no Boruto baggage is a different story, and that’s the part I’m interested in. Full breakdown at the link in bio. Steel Ball Run Episode 3 review is up. No crazy sp Steel Ball Run Episode 3 review is up. No crazy spectacle this week, but it sets up a lot and it's a fun watch throughout. Gyro and Johnny aren't friends yet, but you can see it starting. Gyro actually teaches him a bit of the Spin here. We also get our first proper look at Part 7's Stands, and Mountain Tim's investigation moves forward in a direction I did not expect. Also, weekly release. We won that one. Thanks for the backlash, everyone. Full review at the link in bio. What did you make of the ending theme? #SteelBallRun #JoJosBizarreAdventure #JJBA #JohnnyJoestar #AnimeReview
Xbox 2026 has been a strange year. New leadership, Xbox 2026 has been a strange year. New leadership, cheaper Game Pass, digital ownership on physical discs. They're doing right by us in ways Sony isn't even attempting. And then Campaign Evolved gets outplayed by a 2019 collection, Halo Studios gets gutted, and Bethesda still has nothing to show for the last ten years. E-Day and FH6 are great, but they're the exceptions. Here's my thing though. When everything goes straight into a cheap subscription, nobody has to make something worth $70 anymore. The ads patent and the 15-hour cloud cap are what that bill looks like. I don't think the good half and the bad half are separate problems. Full breakdown at the link in bio.
