  • The latest episode of Tokyo Revengers’ Tenjiku Arc stands out as the most shocking, marking a turning point in the season and leaving a lasting impact.

I know that I already talked about Tokyo Revengers Tenjiku Arc earlier in a dedicated article. But honestly, this week’s episode was so good, that it deserves to be shouted out again. It was probably the most shocking episode this week and it is going to leave a mark on me and a lot of others as well.

The other anime didn’t slack this week though. Frieren and Ragna Crimson had amazing episodes with some cool action. It was fun to see Touji and Sukuna going ham in Jujutsu Kaisen. And, Dr. Stone continues to get better and better, Lately, MF Ghost deserves a shout-out as well. It didn’t quite make it onto the list because of these other episodes but MFG has an awesome episode this week too!

But anyway, welcome back to another edition of our Best Episodes of the Week series! It is the 6th week of the Fall 2023 Season so let’s talk about everything from the Tenjiku Arc to Frieren to Touji and Sukuna! And speaking of, let’s start with

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 15

Ok, this week’s episode was a lot better than last week. I know that there have been some recent real-life incidents related to the production of this anime that have been brought to light lately. But we are not here to talk about that. I already did an article on that. Regardless though, this week’s episode was fun. The animations were still kinda “eh” compared to what we have come to expect of Jujutsu Kaisen but they’re definitely better than last week.

Let’s get into the positive stuff though. Touji is back, he gets that eerie narration and everything. He proceeds to own the fish spirit, Dagon. He then separated Megumi from the group to face him alone. After that JOugo arrived and swore to avenge Dagon. I won’t spoil what happens next though because the shock value is an important part of that scene. Also, Skukuna is back and he makes a “deal” with Jougo. It will be fun to see how much more things descend into chaos in the next episodes. Great episode despite everything holding it back.

Dr. Stone New World Part 2 Episode 4

I won’t spoil what they made in this episode because again, shock value is an important factor but this episode was full of the usual Dr. Stone goodness. A bit of science, combined with some work and a bit of reflection on human nature. We also get a great character moment for Kinro in this episode as he learns of Ginro’s fate. His reaction to that information is really well done.

Senku and the gang have this elaborate plan of baiting out and capturing the verification device the islanders have. How that plan finally plays out will be interesting to see next week, Another great episode for the series balanced everything from plot development to serious stuff and comedy really well.

Frieren Episode 9

One of the two episodes this week I put here simply because of how good the action was. We had only seen our main cast take on monsters to this point, this is the first time they are against other sentient beings, demons. Frieren aside, since she is very experienced in battle, it was really fun to see Stark and Fren observe their opponent and poke a hole in their defenses accordingly, utilizing every single tool at their disposal.

Fren easily stood out in this episode because her fight with the demon was so flashy, that she was using her faster casting time to her advantage, overwhelming the demon with the sheer number of spells. But, Startk deserves praise as well he pretty much sacrificed his own body to defeat the demon he was fighting. By the looks of it, Frieren will get the chance to shine next week and I am very excited about that too.

Ragna Crimson Episode 6

Ok, when I saw Ragna walking away from Ultimatia and Crimson having a long talk with her subordinates about how to kill Ultimatia with all her time powers, I thought we wouldn’t get a fight this week either. Well, to be fair, we did not actually get a fight, Ragna just straight-up carved Ultimatia. I don’t know what he saw in his “previous” life that made him hate her so much, but damn did he carve her up.

He knew that she would rewind time on her body to resurrect herself so he just kept doing that and the episode pretty much ended on a cliffhanger as all this was happening. Dude those last 5 minutes were unexpected. They were just straight-up chaos and they were brutal. I know that Ultimatia is crazy and all but damn Ragna, you didn’t have to goΒ thatΒ far. It will be fun to see how Crimson reacts to Ragna preemptively attacking Ultimatia next week.

Tokyo Revengers Tenjiku Arc Episode 5

I am not going to spoil anything about this episode once again because the shock factor is important to the experience. Again though, the last 5 minutes of this episode were unexpected. And they’re unexpected for a totally different reason than Ragna Crimson. What happened is unforgivable and the expression on Mikey’s face at the end of the episode said it all.

Tenjiku Arc has been decent so far but this episode turned it into a great season. Some characters involved in the incident will get what is coming to them later but, damn the ending hit hard. They even gave us a special ending animation dedicated to what had just happened/ Again, it will be fun to see how Mikey reacts to all of this.

That is all for now!

Amazing week, we had some awesome episodes this week as well and Tokyo Revengers one was easily the most shocking one out of them. Let me know what you guys think in the comments, I will take my leave here. See ya!!
