TenSura Season 4 Will Run for FIVE Split Cours!

Article at a glance:

  • TenSura Season 4 is shaping up to be massive, with five split cours essentially confirming a near-complete adaptation all the way into the final arc; something we rarely get to see for manga/LN series.
  • Instead of fragmenting it into multiple seasons, this approach brings back the long-running format with breaks, giving the story more breathing room and better pacing overall.
  • While the scale is exciting, concerns remain, especially with Bandai Namco’s recent track record, making Season 4 both one of the most promising and most nerve-wracking TenSura projects yet.

This is QUITE a surprise. This news also basically confirms that they are aiming to adapt the whole manga/LN through to the end, which is always nice to see. Not many manga/LNs get a full adaptation. But yeah, man, by the time were done with TenSura Season 4, we will pretty much be in the final arc. Because if I take 12-13 episodes per cour, Season 4 will end up being easily around 60 to 65 episodes long.

And another reason I appreciate this announcement is that instead of splitting these 5 cours into more “seasons,” we will essentially have a long-running season with breaks as we did back in the day.

I do have my concerns, of course. Especially given the track record of Bandai Namco recently. But, more on that later. First, let’s cover all the news. Let’s get into it

What do we know about TenSura Season 4?

Yesterday, during an “important announcements” livestream, they revealed that That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 will run for five split cours. The first two of these cours will be aired back-to-back starting April 2026. More details will soon follow, of course. They also released an announcement trailer featuring the same info. But that’s all we got for now.

So yeah, let’s move on to

My Thoughts

I was debating whether I should cover this news or not since there isn’t much to talk about here. But this is HUGE news to I had to cover it. Five split cours is genuinely impressive work. Once again, though, I hope that 8bit is not spreading itself too thin. We don’t want another Blue Lock Season 2 or OPM Season 3 situation. Bandai Namco has had way too many bad calls recently for me to be all happy and carefree about Slime Season 4. If they can mess up OPM, they can mess up this, too.

But again, hopefully, it won’t come to that. Hopefully, we will get to enjoy a long season with decent animations. I understand why everything moved to shorter seasons, but man, I do appreciate getting a long-running season like this once in a while.

What I’m most excited about, though, is the upcoming arc itself. This is where TenSura really flexes its world-building. The deeper focus on the True Dragons, the Primordial Demons, and their place in the power hierarchy adds so much to the setting. It stops being just another generic isekai nation-building story and starts feeling like a fully realized mythos with history, politics, and terrifyingly ancient beings pulling the strings.

That is all for now

But yeah, let me know what you guys think in the comments. Five split cours, if adapted wiell is bound to be a treat, so I do look forward to it. With that said, though, I will take my leave here. See ya!
