If you watched the episode, you’d know why I titled the article after it. This was a pretty chaotic week for me in general. And why is it that we get some of the best episodes on the weeks I am rather busy? Well, regardless we are here. The Apothecary Diaries has been really good as is but the ending of episode 19 got me good. That cliffhanger came out of nowhere and it was as painful as much as it was shocking.

But of course, that is not all. Ragna Crimson had a very interesting episode showcasing the aftermath of the all-out war we just had. The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 keeps bringing me back every week because of its amazing pacing. Solo Leveling had another cool fight and the anime is finally starting to pick up. And lastly, Ayanokoji flexes his brain once again in Classroom of the Elite Season 3.

So let’s talk about it all. From The Apothecary Diaries Episode 19 to Solo Leveling Episode 6, it is the 7th week of the Winter 2024 season, and here are my favorite episodes from this week!

Solo Leveling Episode 7

Let’s start with the episode that I just finished watching. When I started this episode, I was worried that it would be another slow-paced slice-of-life episode. I don’t mind slice-of-life sections but this anime has been pretty slow in the first half already so, But my assumption turned out to be wrong. Even the fight aside, this episode gave us a good look into how the economy around dungeons functions and how corporations have managed to find a way to make money even in desperate times like these.

Even though the info wasn’t a whole dump, small info like this still contributes to the world-building and it makes things a little more believable. And of course, the fight was awesome as well. It was well-directed and it told us no matter how strong Jingwoo has become, he is not invincible. He barely scraped by in that fight.

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 7

Exams in this anime are never fair but even by COTE standards, the current exam is really unfair. And it looks like Sakayanagi has found a way to use this exam to her advantage. This episode had a lot of things going for it other than just the Sakayanagi/Yamauchi reveal. It also gave us a great moment between Horikita and her brother. It emphasized her character growth while adding more to it.

We also had the whole Ichinose and Miyabi situation. Aside from all that, it was also cool to see Hirata getting frustrated with himself because he couldn’t think of anything for this exam. It is a small thing but it adds more to his character.

The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 Episode 7

Another awesome episode from this anime in the books. I was kind of mad that the confession didn’t happen in last week’s episode despite strongly implying it did. One thing I noticed in this episode is that Ichikawa is a lot more open to talking to others about his feelings. That is hard as an introvert so that is a good sign of character growth for him. I also like how this episode sweetly showcased their insecurities when it comes to each other.

And of course, like every other episode in Season 2 so far, this episode also ends with another amazing moment between the two. I feel like the confession scene is coming soon and I can’t wait for it. As I said, another great episode from this season in the books.

Ragna Crimson Episode 18

Ok, what the hell is going on in this anime? I thought we’d be in for an episode of intense fighting between Kamui and Ragna. But Ragna got done in by Kamui. Which is understandable. he was already battered, And we also already knew about the Church and their special dragon hunters, Dragon Scourges. But no one told me that the Church was led by Ultimatia clones. I have no idea what is even going on here. Ragna seems to know about their connection and I hope that the next episode will shed some more light on it.

Of course, Crimson also finally makes his return after like 2 or 3 episodes of absence. The episode also gave us a great moment between Ria and Ragna. Ragna finally coming to terms with her death and stuff. Overall, this was a great episode. We got a lot of plot progression and maybe even some setups for upcoming arcs.

The Apothecary Diaries Episode 19

Ah, finally I can talk about The Apothecary Diaries Episode 19. Ever since the series started, we have been following this seemingly random string of events. But this episode kind of suggests that all of them may be related and may lead back up to the same person. It is not confirmed if the said person is actually responsible for all of them or not but it was a pretty big plot development. So now, what seemed like a random warehouse fire has led to Jinshi’s life being in danger.

But of course, that is not why I called The Apothecary Diaries Episode 19 wild. I call this episode wild because of the last 5 minutes. We know that Mao is likely going to be fine but boy did we all lose it when she got hit by that club. And then the way Jinshi carried her back with her blood dripping all over the place really made it seem like she passed away. I am very curious to see the reaction of her “father” and Jinshi in next week’s episode now because both of them looked rather angry.

That is all for now!

Let me know what you guys think in the comments. Those were my favorite episodes from this week. It is 4 in the morning here so I will be off to sleep now. See ya!
