This show came out of nowhere and like shook the whole community. What should have been an average isekai turned out to be this whole meta-commentary on isekai stuff. And still somehow having a serviceable enough story. And now The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 is right around the corner.

Yes, we recently got a bunch of new info on the second season and I am here to talk about all that and more today. I believe one or two episodes of the anime were premiered early in Japan for select audiences, but that is not our main topic of discussion.

So welcome back to another news article. Today we will be talking about The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 and everything we know about it. So let’s get started.

What do we know about The Eminence in Shadow Season 2?

The anime will air in the next season, the Fall 2023 season as announced earlier. But, now we have a fixed release date of October 4th. Most of the major staff members are reprising their roles. So Kazuya Nakanishi is returning to direct the anime at Nexus Studios. And of course, the cast members are also reprising their roles with Saori Hayami and Miku Itou joining the cast as well.

OxT will be returning to perform the opening theme of this season called “Grayscale Dominator”. The season 1 opening theme by them, “Highest” was pretty awesome so this one should be good too. What do I think?

Well, it goes without saying that I am excited. I heard from some of my friends who have read the source material that the upcoming Vampire arc is pretty good. So I look forward to that. Glad to see that the staff is returning for season 2 as well. They did a fantastic job in the first season and I wouldn’t want that to change.

The PV looks pretty hype as always, Shadow being Chuuni and pretending to act cool never gets old. The visuals look great once again as we’ve come to expect from the series. And you know what can I say, the new PV got me even more excited about this season than I was before. So yeah, I very much do look forward to it. Only 3 more weeks to go now, can’t wait.
