The Fall 2024 Season Looks Absolutely INSANE for Anime

I just went over the anime lineup for the upcoming Fall 2024 season again and I still can’t believe just how stacked it is. I just had to talk about it. This season will make upcoming seasons look like jokes by comparison. I don’t even know how to proceed with this article but I had to make it. Because Fall 2024 is stupid. It is like someone deliberately picked to put all high-profile releases in this season, particularly for some reason. Let’s be honest. the past few years and 2024 in particular have been amazing for anime.
And yet, Fall 2024 will still end up becoming one season to rule them all because of the sheer amount of high-profile releases it has. What does Winter 2025 have by comparison? Sakamoto Days and 100 Girlfriends Season 2? That’s it for now at least, Let’s take a look at all the Fall 2024 high-profile anime. I am just listing anime here because if I talk about them all, this article will end up being too long.
The Sequels:
- Bleach TYBW Part 3
- DanMachi Season 5
- Re:Zero Season 3
- GGO Season 2
- Blue Lock Season 2
- Dragon Ball Daima (RIP Toriyama, we miss you)
- Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow
Those are just the high-profile, “mainstream” releases. I didn’t even mention other sequels like Spirit Chronicles Season 2, Kamonohashi Ron Season 2, Arifureta Season 3, etc. Do you realize just how strong that lineup of sequels alone is? This lineup is good enough to carry a season.
But it doesn’t end there
The Originals:
Again, just the “mainstream” ones. Uzumaki looks amazing and if it is a good adaptation, that alone would make this season worth it. But then you add Blue Box, Shounen Jump’s recent bestseller, and something as unique as Orb on top of it.
My Thoughts
I am counting around 17 or 18 anime I want to watch in the season already, not taking into account any of the anime that could turn out to be surprise hits. It is absurd how stacked this season is. Don’t be surprised if 5 or 6 of my top 10 anime of the year end up being from Fall 2024. The sheer amount of stuff this season has dwarfs the Summer 2024 season. I loved the Spring and Winter 2024 Seasons but they stand no chance against the behemoth that is Fall 2024.
We will probably not get another season like Fall 2024 for anime for probably years after this. So enjoy it when it comes around. What a time to be alive.
