The Legendary Hero is Dead, Put This on Your Radar

Key takeaways from Put This on Your Radar – The Legendary Hero is Dead:
- All the info available on this upcoming anime
- Why I think you should check it out
Ok, so I have been weirdly interested in this anime for whatever reason. I really can’t put a finger on why this anime caught my attention so much. It is not like I have read the source material of this series or anything. Maybe it’s because I am into cringe isekais… I don’t know. But, the fact of the matter is that I am quite interested in The Legendary Hero is Dead so I wanted to talk about it.
So welcome back to another edition of Put This on Your Radar, the series where we take a look at some upcoming anime. Today we are talking about The Legendary Hero is Dead or Yuusha ga Shinda, however you wanna say it. The title reminds me so much of the “Lancer ga Shinda” meme from the Fate series. Anyhow, the introduction will be included with the news and my thoughts will come after that as always. So let’s start!
What do we know about The Legendary Hero is Dead?
Well, the anime will be based on the manga of the same name by Subaruichi. The manga was serialized from December 2014 to December 2020 in MangONE. It is 20 volumes or 202 chapters long. The manga also has a sequel that started serialization last year. The story is about a hero, who well, dies because of a trap set by a villager meant for demons. A necromancer forces the said villager’s soul into the hero’s dead body to fight off the demon threat and close the Hell Gate.
As for the anime, it will be made by LIDENFILMS, who have quite a few projects coming this year including Goblin Slayer S2 and Rurouni Kenshin. Not to mention Tokyo Revengers S2 is still airing. Anyway, the anime will be led by Kujou Rion and Toki Shunichi and Taketatsu Ayana will be starring as the main duo. The anime will be coming out on the 7th of April, which is the spring season.

My Thoughts on The Legendary Her is Dead
Well well well, judging form the PV, right off the bat I can say this show won’t be for everyone. Why? Because a lot of people hate fan service. And I am pretty sure this show will have a lot of it. Why am I interested in it though? Not too sure. Maybe it is because I am into cringe isekai and I was looking for another isekai that gave me “so bad, its good” energy, I guess? This certainly fits the bill in both cases lol. But we will see, I will let you know my first impressions of this anime as soon as it drops.
Conclusion
Well, that is all for now. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I think The Legendary Hero is will be funny at the very least if nothing else. Again, we will see. With that said though, I will take my leave here. See ya!!
