So I am back with another yuri anime this time, The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess.
So welcome back to another edition of Put This on Your Radar. The show where we talk about some upcoming animes that caught our eyes. Today of course we are talking about The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess. This anime looks pretty interesting so let’s get started with it!
What do we know about The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess?
The anime will be based on the LN of the same name Kobayashi Kotei and Riichu. The story is about a well… a Vampire Princess who’s put in charge of a “problematic” unit. The members of the unit are ruffians who love to rebel against their superiors at the slightest hint of weakness. Our princess isn’t really strong either because she refuses to drink blood. The story follows her everyday life in a way.
Now, as for the anime, the anime will be made by Project No. 9 studios, which is quite well known for its rom-coms. Their works include The Angel Next Door, Love After World Domination, Higehiro, My Stepmom’s Daughter, etc. The show will be directed by Minamikawa Tatsuma. He has worked on a lot of anime including JoJo (P5/6), AoT Season 1, and more. The anime is set to air in the fall season, which is sometime in October 2023.

What do I Think?
I think this should be an anime worth checking out at the very least. We have some good staff members behind this and the studio has made some really good rom-coms in the past. In fact, one of my favorite animes from this season, The Angel Next Door is made by them. So yeah, they know what they’re doing when it comes to animes like these. So hopefully, they will do a good job with this anime too.
The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess has a rather interesting-sounding plot. And I am sure it will be quite hilarious to watch if the plot is well executed. I really want to see how much fun they can make this plot. I have not read the LN myself. So I have no idea how deep the story is. But, the few people I talked to, did tell me it was quite hilarious. That is a good thing in my opinion.
