Top 5 Anime Covers to Listen to This Week

Welcome back to our weekly musical series! It is the 3rd week of February and this is the 30th article in this weekly series. Just wow. Is it just me or 2022 has been going by fast? It is close to 2 months since the new year now and it doesn’t even feel like 2021 is gone to me. Well anyway, we are not here to talk about all that. We are here to talk covers.
Yes, I am back with 5 more covers that you should check out this week. Music helps you get by through tough times so, I hope you enjoy my picks for this week. The list is in random order as always, so let’s start right away.
Gyutaro’s Theme by SLSMusic
So the Demon Slayer Entertainment District arc anime ended a few days ago and it was awesome. Gyutaro is one of the main antagonists of the arc. He didn’t have that much screen time even his existence was kind of a secret till stuff happened. Without going too much into spoiler territory, know that he had an awesome theme song. Demon Slayer makes great character themes and this one is no exception. SLS makes awesome covers as always; he’s one of the people who I listen to almost daily. ThanksAT by HalcyonMusic
ThanksAT is an OST from AoT Final Season or episode 80 to be more specific. I love AoT soundtracks, they are so hype-building and they make you wanna go kill some shit. Even the softer soundtracks are no exception to this. Halcyon does a fantastic job of covering this awesome piece. His covers are always great; I feel he’s underrated for his level of skill. Check out the video here if the embed is not working.
Zankyou Sanka by Kathie Violin
This video just dropped an hour ago, at the time of writing. Kathie has done a cover of Zankyou Sanka in the past but, it was with Akeboshi. So this is her full version of the Zankyou Sanka cover. I love the set design and the clothing she picked for this video. It fits in so well with the theme of the Entertainment District arc. Kathie’s covers are as good as always, she is another one of the artists who really deserves more attention. Check out the video here if the embed died.
To The Beginning by Animenz
Here’s a classic one for you guys. Listening to this song still brings a tear to my eye. To The Beginning is the 2nd opening theme of the awesome, Fate/Zero originally by the artist Kalafina. This song really hits hard when you know what the lyrics mean and how they relate to Kiritsugu. Even without the lyrics though, Animez’s covers strength is really high. I love this cover and check it out here if the embed isn’t working.
The Rumbling by Ru’s Piano
So at this point, “The Rumbling” has become somewhat of a meme. Still, I am so glad that Ru finally decided to make a cover for this awesome song. I can’t say for sure but, I think that the dress she is in may be somewhat uncomfortable; I know it is just for a video but still. I really appreciate her ring though, she puts out like 3-4 covers every week and all of them are really high quality. Check out the clip here if the embed died.
Conclusion
That is all for now. Let me know what you think down in the comments, and leave any kind of recommendation you may have for me down there as well. I will be sure to check it out. With that said though, I will take my leave here. Hope you liked this week’s covers and see ya!
