Welcome back to another edition l\of our weekly musical series… man, I have been rather busy and tired this week because of all the stuff going on. Semester ending in college, apparently new variant of COVID and of course my dear job; feels like 24 hours are not enough. But, I have no intention of taking a break from anything.

In times like these, music is my best ally. Seriously, good music helps in alleviating all this stress and staying awake a little longer to do some more work. So here I am, back with some really good covers, I found this week. The list is in random order as always so let’s get started.

Ichizu by Kaji

Ichizu is the theme song for the upcoming movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. It is originally given by King Gnu, a band that has grown quite a bit on me recently. So I was really happy when it was announced that they will be doing the theme song for JJK 0. As expected, they didn’t disappoint at all. Then there is this awesome cover of the song by Kaji. Zankyousanka by Fonzi M

Zankyousanka is obviously the awesome opening of Demon Slayer: Entertainment District arc. It is originally by one of my all-time favorite artists, Aimer. The song and the opening animations are so on point with the arc, I just love it. Then, there are also all these artists making covers of that song. Good for me as well, I can vibe to it again and again. Fonzi’s cover is just awesome as usual. You can check it out here.

Akeboshi and Zankyousanka by Kathie Violin

I wasn’t planning on covering this video on this article to avoid duplicate songs but, it’s been a while since I put her on a list so why not. This is a 2 in 1 video, covering both the Mugen Train arc opening Akeboshi by LiSA and Entertainment District Arc Zankyousanka by Aimer. This 2 in 1 video is probably because of her absence but, it’s fine because both the covers are awesome. You can check out this video here.

Hotaru no Hikari by Ru Piano

This one brought back so many memories. It has been so long since I heard Hotaru no Hikari but, it hit hard as soon as I heard the Sha-la-la part. Hotaru no Hikari is the 05th opening theme of Naruto Shippuden and it is one of the most underrated openings from Naruto. People don’t realize how good this opening is till the Sha-la-la part is stuck inside their head. Ru’s cover is so good as always. It is every bit as catchy as the original. Bios by Animenz

The boss is back after about a month of absence to drop another crazy cover. Bios is an OST from Guilty Crown. As much as I feel GC’s story had a lot of wasted potentials, they nailed the OSTs really well. The openings are a huge example of that because they are still so famous even after all these years. As for the cover itself, do I even need to say anything? Animenz is famous for his “10 hands” technique so you can guess what direction this cover is going in. You can check it out here.
