Tower of God Season 2 is here!

Article at a glance:

  • Bam re-emerges with a new appearance and renewed determination to climb the Tower for his own answers, rejecting the notion that the top holds all solutions.
  • The episode introduces new main characters and hints at a significant role for the Jahad royal family, especially Yuri, in the upcoming season.
  • The animation and fight scenes continue to impress, showcasing Bam’s growth and hinting at exciting developments for Season 2.

After all this time, Tower of God Season 2 is here and oh boy, it looks like Bam has been taking fashion lessons from Itachi. When I saw his new look, it took me a good moment to figure out that it was Bam himself. Still, this episode was quite good. You know, I almost gave up hope at some point that this would ever even get a season 2 but well, here we are. And I already feel like Season 2 is going to be a blast compared to Season 1.

Before jumping on Season 2, I refreshed my memory a little by rewatching Season 1. And I suggest you do the same. It has been a while since Season 1 came out so it’s best to re-familiarize yourself with all the characters and world-building terms. With that said, welcome back to another first impressions article. And today we are talking about Tower of God Season 2! Let’s get started!

What did I think of Tower of God Season 2 Episode 1?

The episode starts right where Season 1 left off, with Rachel’s betrayal. Bam is found by Hwaryun after the betrayal and as always, she too tells him to climb. Climb the tower for the answer to all your questions is found there. But Bam refuses this claim. He says that there are no answers at the top of the Tower. He will find the answers himself as he resolves to climb the tower yet again. After that we get a bit of time skip. I am not sure if the anime tell us how long it has been but it has been long enough for Bam to grow waist-length hair.

We then spend some time introducing the new main characters for this season. I am sure we will get to learn about them more as the season progresses. We also get to see a little more of the Jahad royal family. in this episode. I feel like they will have an important role to play in this season, especially Yuri. I hope that we get to see more of what happened to Bam during the timeskip in future episodes. But yeah, the episode did a good job of moving the story forward and introducing the characters we will be spending time with.

The animations and the production in general are once again quite good. The fight scene in this episode was quite well-directed. That scene not only showcased how much stronger Bam has grown but it also showed off the animations. And if Season 2 has more stuff like this in store for us, I am here for it.

That is all for now!

I loved Tower of God Season 2 Episode 1. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!
