Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2 Episode 3 Was Interesting

At a glance:

  • The elves get some genuinely solid world-building this season, and it turns out humans created them, which is a wild little reveal I wasn’t expecting.
  • Marie being confirmed as Leon’s sister from his previous life is a huge deal, and Episode 3 also gives Leon a great, softhearted character moment with Kyle’s mom.
  • The animation is still rough, but the story’s cooking, so Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2 is off to a fun (if slightly slow) start.

Talk about unexpected. I think we all know Trapped in a Dating Sim for Leon’s shenanigans and the absolutely devilish behavior he does at times. But I think a lot of people forget that this anime also has some pretty decent world-building. While the world-building isn’t really the focus, I think it is still nice to get episodes focused on that from time to time. The first 3 episodes of Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2 do a pretty good job of adding to the world-building, and episode 3 also has a great character moment for Leon.

So, welcome back to another article. Today we are talking about Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2; more specifically, I will be talking about why I liked Episode 3. And of course, we will talk about my thoughts on the season so far as well. So let’s get started.

My Thoughts on Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2 Episode 3

Right off the bat, the season gives us a lot to digest. I did not like that almost half of the first episode was a recap. But I understand that it was necessary given how long it has been since Season 1 came out. But we get a ton of info on the Elves specifically. Apparently, the elves were created by humans. Which was a very interesting reveal. We get to learn more about their community and how kinda twisted it is for some people.

More importantly, though, we finally know for certain that Marie is Leon’s sister from his previous life. So it will be interesting to see their reactions when they find out about each other. I know Marie is a terrible person, but given her previous life, it makes sense. I also like how Leon gave Kyle’s mother a proper job where she won’t be exploited. She couldn’t remain on Fan because the other Elves didn’t like her. It was a great character moment for Leon. Despite all his vindictive acts, he’s still softhearted to people who deserve it.

The animations still leave a lot to be desired. I had hoped that the long gap between Seasons 1 and 2 would mean better production. But the anime still doesn’t look that good. The series deserves better animations, man. Random isekai slop gets good animations, and when it comes to one of the rare gems of the genre, they get slimed. But that’s nothing new. Regardless, Season 2 has been pretty fun so far; that’s for sure, if not just a bit slow,

That is all for now

So yeah, let me know what you guys think in the comments. Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2 has been great so far, and Episode 3 was definitely interesting. Remains to be seen how all these plot threads they’ve set up in this first batch of episodes play out later in the season. Of course, Episode 3 also concluded with a pretty huge cliffhanger as well. But yeah, we’ll see how things go. I will take my leave here. See ya!
