Vivy: Fluorite Eyes Song a WIT Studio original anime written by the author of Re: zero is confirmed for spring. While it was announced some time ago, we got its 1^st promo just this Friday (well it’s “yesterday” for me at the time of writing this). And man, WIT did a fantastic job in making the promo look cool. I’ll link it up so that you can see it for yourself at the bottom. Do read the article further for some plot-related information, other information like air dates, and well… my expectations of the anime (which obviously are quite high)

Plot

Here’s what I gathered about the plot from the promo: there’s a complex AI-controlled theme park called Nierland (Nier: Automata flashbacks, I like the reference). Vivy, who is the 1^st ever created humanoid AI, is the main attraction of the park. Her goal is to make people happy through her singing. Even after all this, the park is not very famous. One day an AI called Matsumoto appears before Vivy. He claims that he has come from 100 years in the future to prevent a war between humans and AI (which is set to take place after 100 years in the future) with the help of Vivy (inspired from Terminator?) what lies at the end of their 100-year journey? Only time will tell.

So it is confirmed that the anime will have 13 episodes and will start airing from 3^rd April. Both of which are pretty typical for an anime. I mean as I said in a previous article, original anime are getting rarer by day so I am extremely excited for this anime. Just check out the promo for yourself. From the art and animation to the soundtrack, the promo is a 10/10 for sure. I am really hoping that the anime is as good as I am expecting. It is written by the author of Re: Zero so I think it’d be better to be prepared for some emotionally draining moments. Well even putting that aside, it is obvious from the promo that there are sure to be such moments.

You can check up the staff members from their official site but, most of the staff members are from famous anime like Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure 5, Guilty Crown, Fate/Extra: Last Encore, etc. the mechanical designer is from Guilty Crown and Robotic; Noted both of which have awesome mechanical designs so I can vouch for that man’s hard work. Of course, there is no reason to worry about animations because, apparently, WIT has been working on this for a little while now. If they can keep up the promo quality in the actual anime (which WIT usually does.) Therefore, I don’t think there will be any reason to complain about the animations.

I am seriously excited about this anime. I like the Nier: Automata and Terminator references. On the other hand, my excitement makes me worried that they may not be answered but I will trust WIT studio here and hope that they won’t let this anime fall on its face.
