Let's Talk About the Winter 2025 Anime...

Following a packed Fall 2024, Winter 2025 will be quieter but still exciting with major continuations like Re:Zero Season 3, Blue Box, and Orb.
The season is led by Solo Leveling Season 2, The Apothecary Diaries Season 2, Dr. Stone Science Future, and Sakamoto Days, with three of them being sequels.
Sakamoto Days and Blue Box represent Jump’s rising new generation, and Dr. Stone had a much better ending than recent manga endings so it will be refresing to see a good ending in action for a change.

I find it funny how few people I’ve seen talk about the winter 2025 anime season. I know that it is a quiet season after having such a crazy fall season. Almost all the major releases of 2024 have been crammed into the fall season. But hey, I am not complaining. This places Winter 2025 in an odd spot. It is definitely a “cooldown” period but it won’t be a dull season by any means. Some fall anime, namely, Re: Zero Season 3, Blue Box, and Orb will be continuing in the winter season as well filling it up.

As for the new anime in the winter 2025 season though, there are basically 4 major anime and the season will likely be carried by them. And 3 of them happen to be sequels lol. But let’s talk about them quickly.

Solo Leveling Season 2

No surprises here. I was kind of disappointed by Solo Leveling Season 1 but I have been told that things get much better after the introduction arc. So I look forward to seeing where Season 2 takes us. And I am not alone. I know a lot of people are looking forward to this season. And this will likely end up being the “biggest” of the winter season. But yeah, it should be fun.

The Apothecary Diaries Season 2

Again, no surprises here. This anime came out of nowhere and took everyone by storm. This anime only got more interesting as it went on and I look forward to seeing what Season 2 brings to the table. More mysteries in the palace to unravel and given how Season 1 ended, I already know we will be in for a treat. Can’t wait to see more of the banter between Jinshi and Maomao.

Dr. Stone Science Future

If I recall correctly, this will be the last season of Dr. Stone. Though I am pretty sure it will be split into parts like how New World was. But yeah, we are at the home stretch with Dr. Stone. With how atrocious recent manga endings like Oshi no Ko and JJk have been, Dr. Stone’s ending was really good by comparison lol. So it will be great to see a decent ending to a series for a change.

Sakamoto Days

Well, we got Sakamoto Days and Blue Box anime adaptations back to back. If you don’t know, Blue Box, Sakamoto Days, and Kagurabachi have kind of become Jump’s new “big 3” after the ending of Demon Slayer, MHA, and JJk. And just like Blue Box, Sakamoto Days is not a typical Shounen manga. I have heard a lot of good things about this and I look forward to seeing what this has to offer because I am really satisfied with Blue Box so far.

So yeah, I just wanted to talk about all the biggest anime of the winter 2025 season. Unless there is a surprise hit hidden somewhere these will likely be the shows we will spend the season talking about. There’s also 100 Girlfriends Season 2 but that is a tier below these 4 in popularity, in my opinion. But yeah, we will see how the winter season goes. I am not ready to say goodbye to the fall just yet even though there’s only 1 more left. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
