Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 Reveals More Details!

Article at a glance:

  • Season 2 Confirmed: After a year of silence, we finally got new updates on Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2.
  • Staff Changes & Studios: Season 2 will have a new director, Hideaki Nakano, with Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures handling production.
  • Release Window: The anime is officially set to premiere in Spring 2026, kicking off in April.

Well, about damn time we got some new info on this. Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 1 aired last year in the Summer 2024 season, and well, Season 2 is still further away. Crazy that we basically went a whole year without any new info on the 2nd Season. Season 2 was announced shortly after Season 1 concluded, so I think most of us expected to receive more updates on Season 2 soon. But still, as I always say, better late than never. I can promise you this, though: Season 2 will be a banger.

So welcome back to another news article. Today, we are talking about Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2. We have a number of updates to share, so let’s get started.

Everything we know about Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2

Earlier this week, the official website for the anime adaptation dropped a bunch of updates. We got a new teaser visual and a teaser trailer. And there were some changes to the staff as well. So let’s talk about that first. The director of Season 1, Tatsuya Yoshihara, is now credited as the chief director. Hideaki Nakano will be in charge of directing Season 2. Season 2 will be a joint production between Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. Other than that, most of the major staff members will be returning.

Oh, and yeah, you can check out the new teaser trailer here. I don’t think that the teaser has any new scenes in it, but at least we have a release window for the show now. Season 2 will officially premiere in Spring 2026, so it will start airing sometime in April.

That covers all the news, so let’s move on to

My Thoughts

I am REALLY hyped for Wistoria Season 2. Season 1 ended on such a high note that even though I know what is coming in Season 2, I am still very excited about it. Yeah, I couldn’t resist and ended up reading the manga a bit ahead. I am not super ahead or anything, but I did read a few chapters after Season 1’s ending. So trust me on this, Season 2 is going to start with a damn bang. Wistoria does not let up with its pacing; it is relentless.

So yeah, be prepared, it is going to be a constant barrage of events, and I promise you are NOT prepared for some of these upcoming twits. This is exactly why I liked Wistoria. Despite the cliché setting, this series just refuses to be a generic fantasy because of how well-executed the plot is.

That is all for now

So yeah, let me know what you guys think of Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 in the comments. As I mentioned, I am really excited about this one. But yeah, with that said, I will take my leave here. Gonna go play some Elden Ring, it has been a while. See ya!
