Well, the anime series revolves around Naofmi Iwatani. Who has been summoned to a new world in order to become one of the four heroes.
These four heroes are namely the Shield Hero. He is not the only one who has been summoned into a parallel world. Three other people are also there with him.
All these four people have their legendary equipment. One of them was Naofumi received upon his arrival was the Legendary Shield. Three of the four people had weapons with attacking abilities but Naofumi’s equipment was the only which had defensive abilities.
So, the plot of the anime gets really interesting. When Naofumi who has been left with just one teammate because of his lack of charisma and experience.
He is also betrayed on the second day of the adventure in which he was accused of rape. Because of this, all his assets and equipment has been taken away.
This was the turning point in his life. Naofumi’s life has a mission now and wants vengeance against those who betrayed him. He meets Berocas somehow who is a slave trader and this man makes him meet a little girl named Raphtalia.
Ultimately, this little girl becomes his partner and this is how his journey goes on in the series.

The strongest shield he has is the Shield of Wrath. This Shield with the help of cursed flames allows him to counterattack opponents.
One problem with this shield is that it takes control of his self and then his inner darkness comes out.
