Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 Announced!

Article at a glance:

• Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 was announced at the “10th Anniversary Memorial Fest!” event, with commemorative illustrations by the LN’s character designer and manga author.
• Despite being categorized with generic isekai, the show stands out with memorable characters and a better narrative, making the sequel announcement exciting for fans.
• Details on staff and production are scarce, but fans are eager for Arc’s adventures and curious about potential reveals in the upcoming season.

Skeleton Knight in Another World is one of the more underappreciated isekais. Yes, it may not be anything special like Mushoku Tensei or Re: Zero but Skeleton Knight is still much better than the generic isekai slop we get every season. I have over 700 completed entries on my MAL account and even then I still remember the 3 main characters of this show along with their names. That to me is a sign of a good show. So when I saw that Skeleton Knight in Another World is getting a Season 2, I was ecstatic.

So many undeserving shows get a sequel so seeing something actually underrated get a sequel once in a while makes me happy. Now, there isn’t much news to cover as this is just the initial announcement. But I really wanted to talk about Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 and the show in general which is why I am making this article lol. But yeah, let’s go over the news first.

What do we know about Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2?

Earlier today (15th December) there was an event called “10th Anniversary Memorial Fest! Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering Special ~Night Dream Fest~” which announced the 2nd season of Skeleton Knight. Well, I shouldn’t say “was” because I’m pretty sure that the event is still ongoing at the time of writing but still. But yeah, the event confirmed that Season 2 of the anime is under production. And to commemorate this announcement, both the original character designer for the LN and the author of the manga adaptation drew illustrations lol.

Nothing more was announced for now. We don’t even know if the same staff will be working on the show or not. But I do think that the cast at least will make a return. But that’s just speculation. Either way, I’ll keep you updated on future developments.

My Thoughts

There are very few shows that I remember even two years after watching them given the quantity of media I have to consume. So when I remember a show’s characters along with their names, I consider that to be a good show because it was clearly memorable. That’s the reason I consider Skeleton Knight as “underrated” because it is often lumped together with mediocre isekai slop we get so often. Skeleton Knight doesn’t deserve that categorization as it is a lot better than that.

So yeah, I do look forward to seeing what Season 2 has to offer. Season 1 was quite good and I still recall its premise. Can’t wait to see more of Arc’s shenanigans. I wonder if they’ll show his proper appearance in Season 2 at all. I have not read the LN or the manga so I have no idea what’s coming lol.

That is all for now

Again, this announcement just really made me happy. It is not often that shows like Skeleton Knight in Another World are renewed for a 2nd season. But yeah, I will take my leave here. See ya!
