Key points for Dorohedoro Season 2 news:
- So, we’re finally getting a Dorohedoro Season 2! The official website dropped the news, marking the return of this quirky anime after a four-year gap.
- I’m a bit surprised that the studio behind Season 2 hasn’t been confirmed yet. The absence of an announcement from MAPPA, the original studio, adds a layer of uncertainty.
- Personally, I don’t really mind which studio takes on Season 2; I’m just thrilled to have more Dorohedoro. The series has a unique charm, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it unfolds.
This is a very unexpected announcement. I’m genuinely surprised it hadn’t happened already and almost had given up hope. But recently, we’ve seen stranger sequel announcements so I guess Dorohedoro getting a Season 2 isn’t that odd. Especially compared to something like Blue Exorcist Season 3 or something. Either way, yes we finally have a confirmed sequel for Dorohedoro. The anime’s first season came out 4 years ago, in the Winter season of 2020. Heh, what a year that was, right? And the manga is even older. The manga was serialized from 2000 to 2018.
But that is not what we are here to talk about. No, today we are talking about Dorohedoro Season 2. So welcome back to another news article and you know what we are talking about today. As always, since this is just the initial announcements, the details are pretty sparse. Either way, let’s get into it!
What do we know about Dorohedoro Season 2?
The official website of the Dorohedoro anime revealed that a sequel for the anime is under production and revealed a teaser visual for it. Now surprisingly enough, it hasn’t been confirmed if Mappa will return for the production of Season 2 or not. Mappa made season 1 and they usually announce their involvement with a product pretty early on. So it is kind of odd that no studio was announced. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mappa won’t work on Season, especially after the recent chaos in their studio. You know, the one during the production of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
If the does indeed change, there will likely be quite a few staff member changes. Although I do think that the cast for the show will still return regardless of the studio situation. Well, that covers all the news combined with a bit of speculation from my side. So let’s move on to
I really don’t care about what studio picks this anime up, to be honest. I am just happy that we will have more Dorohedoro soon enough. And if we are lucky, this season may even come out this year. There isn’t really anything else like Dorohedoro out there. It is weird, quirky, and certainly not for everyone but it is quite fun if the setting appeals to you. It is edgy, it is funny and I love every bit of it. So I am happy to have more of it.
That is all for now!
Let me know what you guys think in the comments. That is all we know and my thoughts on Dorohedoro Season 2 so far. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!!
