So let me be clear, there isn’t much news to cover at this moment. But I wanted to write this article just because I liked the show a lot. Skip and Loafer is a really wholesome rom-com, it reminds me a lot of Kimi ni Todoke but it is different enough to have its own charm. So when Kimi ni Todoke got a Season 3 recently, I was left wondering if Skip and Loafer would get a Season 2 down the line as well. And low and behold, here we are. Though I am sure it is still a few months away, this announcement does make me happy.
So welcome to another news article. Today we are talking about Skip and Loafer Season 2! Again, we don’t have much news to cover right now but I just wanted to talk about the show so here we are. So let’s get started!
What do we know about Skip and Loafer Season 2?
On Friday, the official website of the Skip and Loafer anime revealed that a sequel is under production. The manga author and the original creator, Misaki Takamatsu drew an art to commemorate the Season 2 announcement. PA Works will be returning to animate Season 2 as well. But yeah that’s about it, we don’t have any more news to go over right now. I am sure that the old cast will reprise their roles and since it is the same studio, I doubt there will be any major changes in the staff positions either.
But yeah, let’s move on to
My Thoughts
Skip and Loafer has such a unique story. Iwakura is a country bumpkin with grand ambitions for better or for worse and there it s certain innocence to her character that makes her unique. Her character arc is also so well done as she gets used to city life. Seriously, there is so much stuff she doesn’t know and that makes for so many cute character moments. I can’t wait to see more of her shenanigans in Season 2. And her character makes Sousuke’s character stand out more.
Sousuke’s character isn’t unique like Iwakura. But how his character plays out because of Iwakura is what makes it unique. And that is why I like their character dynamic so much. But yeah, you can see why I like this series so much. I am very excited about Season 2 and I cannot wait to see more of these two sillies.
