- Fans anticipate a high-quality adaptation for this pivotal arc, hoping Mappa avoids scheduling issues seen in past projects.

Man, I forgot that the Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc movie was announced a while ago. There has been so much to talk about that I completely forgot about Chainsaw Man for a while. But I am still really excited about this movie. Hopefully, I’ll be able to watch it in a theatre because this is where Chainsaw Man really takes off. CSM is something that keeps getting better and better as it goes on and this arc is a clear step above the previous arcs. So I really look forward to it.
And well, to finish this week off, CSM decided to bless us with a whole bunch of news to talk about. So welcome back to another news article. And today we are talking about Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc. There’s actually quite a bit to talk about as I said, so let’s get started.

What do we know about Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc movie?

Earlier today, CSM revealed the main staff, two teaser visuals, and the second teaser trailer for the movie. And the most interesting thing to note here is that the movie isn’t directed by Nakayama Yuu like the anime was. Instead, the movie is being directed by the Black Clover director, Tatsuya Yoshihara. There are multiple new staff members as well, I can’t list them all here but you can check out the full list of the new staff on the official website, I am mentioning the director change because it is the most important one here.
The movie is scheduled to premiere in Japan sometime in 2025. No fixed detailed release windows yet but we will get one soon enough I think. Of course, Mappa will be returning to produce and animate the movie. You can check out the new teaser trailer here. But yeah, that covers all the news for now.
So let’s move on to
My Thoughts
As I mentioned, the changing of directors is really interesting here. Nakayama Yuu had a very particular vision of how to direct the series. If you have read any of his interviews, he was very open about how we wanted to go for a more “movie-like” feel in the anime. And I know quite a few people weren’t huge fans of his direction but I didn’t mind it. Let’s hope that Tatsuya Yoshihara takes this opportunity and delivers. I have not watched Black Clover so I am not familiar with his work but still.
And I also hope that Mappa and their schedule have improved enough by this point so that this movie gets all the love and care it deserves. Cause damn it, this arc is good and I don’t want a repeat of Jujutsu Kaisen Seaosn 2. So far, things look good and I hope that continues. Chainsaw Man may not be for everyone but this arc is one of the best examples of what makes Chainsaw Man special and I really hope that the anime adaptation is just as good.
That is all for now
So yeah, let me know what you guys think in the comments. Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc movie has been looking promising so far and I look forward to watching it whenever it comes out next year. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
