Key points for Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4 news:
- I’m thrilled about the confirmation of Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4, especially as it will adapt Part 3 of the manga.
- I’m looking forward to Season 4 being produced by WIT Studio, curious to see how this studio change will influence the adaptation compared to Ajia-Do Studio.
- I’ve briefly explained the manga’s complex structure with different parts corresponding to LN arcs, providing context for those unfamiliar with the source material.
Oh my god, you guys have no idea just how happy I am to see this series do well. See, an anime like Ascendance of a Bookworm doesn’t really have “mass appeal” in my opinion so I am genuinely happy when I see a series like this do well. And now Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4 has been confirmed and I couldn’t be happier about it. And the best part is that the good news doesn’t end there. Yes, there is more.
So season 4 will adapt Part 3 of the manga, I believe we finished Part 2 with Season 3. Either way, welcome back to another one of our news articles. There have been a lot of good news stories this week and I have covered them all. Right now, we are talking about Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4. Let’s get started.
What do we know about Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4?
As I mentioned, Season 4 will start adapting Part 3 of the manga. Parts 1 and 2 were adapted by Ajia-Do Studio in Seasons 1-3. Season 4 though, will be made by none other than WIT Studio. Which is just fantastic. TO Books announced on their official Twitter account that Season 4 is under production and it will be made by WIT.
The whole “Part” thing is confusing so I’ll touch on it briefly. The source material, the LN came out in January 2015 and is still ongoing. To keep up with the LN, the manga adaptation is made in parts. Parts 1 and 2 have the same artist, Suzuka, and were serialized from 2015 to 2018. Part 3 was drawn by Ryou Namino and was launched in 2018. And finally, Part 4 was drawn by Hikaru Katsuki and was launched in 2020. Basically, there are different parts of the manga adaptation based on which LN arcs they are covering. I have no idea why the whole thing is so complex.
Either way, let’s move on to
I’ve already mentioned how excited I am about this anime. So I don’t need to say much here. Talking about the whole manga thing took up a lot of time as is. But still, I am very excited about this anime. I do like reading but in Myne’s case, it is an obsession beyond belief. And I love seeing her journey and how far she has come in this world. This anime for me is how you do fantasy/isekai slice-of-life right. It has everything from a good plot to good pacing to good world-building and whatnot. I am so excited about Season 4 man, I am sure it will be fun.
That is all for now!
Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4 should be a fun one and I can’t wait for it. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
