Blue Box, Put This on Your Radar!

Key points for Put This on Your Radar – Blue Box:
- Blue Box, a sports romance manga by Miura Kouji, has caught attention for its unique blend of romance and sports elements.
- The manga follows the story of Taiki Inomata and Chinatsu Kano, exploring the challenges and aspirations they face in the world of badminton.
- An anime adaptation of Blue Box has been officially announced, generating excitement among fans. While details are scarce, the anticipation is high for a quality adaptation, with hopes for a release in the upcoming Spring or Summer season.

I think it is pretty obvious that I really do like a good romance anime. Another genre I really like in anime is Sports. So when something comes around that has a good blend of both, of course, I am going to check it out. And that is exactly what Blue Box is!
When I saw this announcement, I checked out a few chapters of the manga out of curiosity. And I enjoyed the 5-6 chapters I read. Of course, I decided to not go any further and wait for anime to come out.
So welcome back to another edition of Put This on Your Radar – the series where we talk about upcoming anime that caught my eye. Not much news to talk about today though so I’ll give you a quick introduction to the series before moving on to my thoughts. Let’s get started.

A Quick Introduction to Blue Box
Blue Box or Ao no Hako is a manga written by Miura Kouji. It has been serialized in the Weekly Shounen Jump magazine since April 2021 and is still ongoing. As I said, it is a sports romance manga. Currently, it has 12 volumes available, with the 13th one being scheduled to be released on December 4th. For the Engish official releases, Viz is handling the hard copies while the manga is also available online on Shueisha’s Manga Plus Website.
The plot revolves around Taiki Inomata and Chinatsu Kano. Chinatsu had always been Taiki’s crush but the difference between them couldn’t be greater. Chinatsu is famous for her basketball skills and is adored by everyone. While Taiki is average at badminton at best. Luckily for him though, due to certain circumstances, Chinatsu has to live at Taiki’s house now. At this point, Taiki decides to do everything possible to become worthy of her, and just like her, he wants to go to the badminton nationals.
The News Part
Not much to say here as I said earlier. The official manga page on Twitter announced that an anime is under production. They revealed a teaser visual and announced that Shouya Chiba and Reina Ueda will be starring as the main duo. That is it. That is all we have for now. No release window, no studio, no staff, nothing like that.
That is all for now!
I really look forward to this anime, it should be fun. And I hope that it gets a decent studio at the very least. A decent anime adaptation is all I ask for because this manga deserves it. We will likely see more details in the upcoming weeks. I think it will be released sometime next year, probably in the Spring or Summer season since they announced it now. We will see, either way,
Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!!
