Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc Movie Announced!

Key points for Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc news

  • Jump Festa 2024 revealed that a sequel movie for Chainsaw Man, titled “Reze-arc,” is in production. Mappa, the studio behind Season 1, will once again handle the adaptation.
  • The article mentions the release of a teaser visual and trailer for Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc. While no specific release window was provided, the anticipation is high for the movie, expected to come out next year.
  • There are concerns about Mappa’s busy schedule in the past year, working on multiple projects, including Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Despite the studio’s previous challenges, the expectation is that Mappa will deliver a quality adaptation for Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc with a movie-level budget.

You know, I was kind of worried there for a bit that we might not get a sequel for Chainsaw Man cause according to some people, the Blu-ray release of Season 1 underperformed in sales or something. And then there was also the whole Mappa drama. But, I was stupid. Mappa loves money and it’d be stupid not to capitalize on a big series like Chainsaw Man again. So here we are, Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc has been confirmed and it will be adapted as a movie.

The Jump Festa has only just started and we already have updates on things like Blue Exorcist, Rurouni Kenshin, and Chainsaw Man. I will cover all of the news from Jump Festa one by one. So, welcome back to another news article and today we are talking about Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc. Let’s get started.

What do we know about the Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc movie?

This news comes to us from the Red Stage at Jump Festa 2024, just like the Rurouni Kenshin announcement. It was confirmed that a sequel movie for Chainsaw Man was under production. And of course, the movie is titled “Reze-arc”. We got a teaser visual and a teaser trailer for the movie. Of course, the movie will once again be made by Mappa, just like Season 1. We didn’t get a release window for the movie but I think it is fair to assume that it will come out sometime next year.

My Thoughts

Oh boy, where do I even start about Mappa? If you’ve been involved with the anime community or this website even slightly, you should that Mappa really messed up this year. Even their employees were/are having meltdowns on social media. This year, Mappa worked on Hell’s Paradise, Vinland Saga Season 2, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, Attack on Titan, Cooking in Another World, and a few other minor projects. 2 of these anime were 24 episodes long. And while for the most part, they got away, the results of a busy schedule like really took a toll on the quality of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.

Now, next year for them looks alright so far. And I really do hope that we don’t get a repeat of this year’s events. Why am I talking so much about Mappa? Well, because I know no matter what kind of $hit they put their employees through, they will deliver a good adaptation. Now, give an arc and a major franchise like Chainsaw Man a movie-level budget and you know for a fact that the movie will be amazing. So yeah, I just wish that they don’t take on as many projects as this year.

That is all for now!

So yeah, that is enough yammering for now. I think we all know that the movie will be pretty good. Let me know what you guys think in the comments about Chainsaw Man: Reze-arc and Mappa. I will take my leave here. See ya!
