Kaiju no. 8 Season 2 More Details Announced!

Man, there has been a bombardment of announcements and updates on multiple animes I am interested in, in the past two days. Seriously, so many things have been announced in the last two days that I am not sure I can even cover all of them. Though, I will try my best. First and foremost though, I am starting with Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 because this one is coming out pretty soon. Yes, this anime is just 3 months away!
I will do my best to cover all the important announcements/updates but I can’t make any guarantees since there is a limit to what I alone can do lol. Either way, stay tuned, more news articles coming soon.
For now, though, welcome to another news article and today we are talking about Kaiju No. 8 Season 2! Let’s get started!
What do we know about Kaiju No. 8 Season 2?
Well, the first thing you need to know is that Season 2 is just a few months away. Yeah, that’s right, Season 2 is scheduled for a Summer 2025 release so it will start airing sometime in July. During Anime Japan 2025, Kaiju No. 8 had a special event stage. Kouki Uchiyama will be joining the voice cast in Season 2 as Gen Harumi. You can check out the new trailer for Season 2 here!
Aside from all the Season 2 updates from Anime Japan, Cruchyroll also gave us a trailer for the Season 1 compilation movie. You can check out the trailer for the movie here. The video is region-locked…because Crunchyroll so you might not be able to see it, unfortunately. But the movie will screen for 3 weeks in Japan and on April 13, 14, and 16 in the US and Canada, available in both English subbed and dubbed versions. The movie will also include a new original episode, “Hoshina’s Day Off”.
The original episode has a bunch of returning staff members from the anime will be returning for the new episode. And yep, One Republic will be performing the ending theme “Invincible” for the new episode,
My Thoughts
That was a lot of news lol. But the compilation movie doesn’t really interest me though the new episode does sound interesting. I am also happy that they’re bringing back One Republic for the ending theme. I hope that they’re back for Season 2 as well. Western bands doing music for anime is great.
Other than that, I don’t have much to say. Of course, I am very excited about Season 2 and thankfully, it is just a few short months away. As I’ve said before too, it seems like Summer 2025 is shaping up to be the “big” season for this year. As you will see in the upcoming articles, there is a whole bunch of big shows in the Summer season. The announcements from Anime Japan only made the season bigger.
