New The Apothecary Diaries Visual Shows Maomao and Jinshi Making Flower Crowns

Fans of The Apothecary Diaries have a new treat with the latest seasonal visual release. The artwork spotlights Maomao and Jinshi sharing a quiet moment as they make flower crowns in a field of white clover.

This new visual marks the final entry in the second batch of seasonal images for the series. It captures a peaceful scene that contrasts with the often intense mysteries featured in the show.

The Apothecary Diaries anime first arrived in 2023, followed by a second season in early 2025. Both seasons aired as consecutive cours, building a strong following with its unique blend of mystery and palace intrigue.

After the second season concluded, fans were excited by the announcement of a new third season. The upcoming season will be released in two split cours, with the first cour debuting in October 2026 and the second planned for April 2027. Originally a light novel series by Hyuganatsu, The Apothecary Diaries has also inspired multiple manga adaptations. The story follows Maomao, a sharp-minded girl with a knack for medicine, who ends up working inside the emperor’s palace. Her keen intelligence leads to many twists and turns, especially after she befriends the perceptive head eunuch, Jinshi.

Currently, Crunchyroll streams the anime’s first two seasons in select regions, making it accessible to many international fans. With the new visual and upcoming releases, anticipation continues to build.
